Perfect beach getaway
Gorgeous beach house with stunning views. The pictures don’t do this house justice. All the amenities were great. In addition to the beach, don’t miss the infinity pool and the pier for fishing just a few minutes away on the bay side. The elevator was great for hauling things to the upper floors. The house is decorated beautifully and provides everything you need in the fully equipped kitchen. Is a short boardwalk to the beach. Would stay here again.

Still amazing the second time around!
We gather every February at Cape San Blas with a group of family and old friends for one of the highlights of our year.
This was our second stay at this gorgeous home - the first was before Hurricane Michael - and it still looks brand new! It has been meticulously maintained and is spotlessly clean so the beautiful pictures you see here are absolutely accurate.
We love that there are separate sitting areas to escape to for some quiet time, and the big, open living area is perfect for when the whole group gathers. Adventures in cooking are always a big part of this trip, and this is the BEST kitchen. Quality appliances, cookware, dishes and tons of glasses. Lots of work space for multiple cooks, and a convenient pantry to stash things away so everything stays tidy. Comfy beds, nice linens, and each bedroom has it's own bath. The separate "guest house" suite is a unique feature with extra privacy. My son and brother-in-law drew straws to see who would get to sleep there!
Loved the oceanfront location for daily beach walks - plural! - and covered and screened porches to enjoy the view - no matter the weather. Even got up one night and went up to the top deck to watch the moonlight shimmer across the ocean - breathtaking. At most places on the Cape, you get ocean OR bay, but here you have access to both! We walked over to the bay and out on the foggy dock to watch the sun come up one morning. It was so peaceful, quiet and other-worldly. There is also a pool and hot tub there plus another pool right across from this house for visitors in warmer weather. The whole group agrees - this is one of the nicest places we've stayed - at CSB or anywhere!

Great House on the Beach
This was a beautiful house in a great location with easy access to the beach. Stayed with extended family. The kitchen was well supplied with all the necessities for cooking and dining in. Bed and bedrooms were comfortable, but not a lot of storage for clothing. Ample seating in the kitchen and tv area with a nice bonus room with a sleeper sofa.
The only significant negative: The heater in the separate kids room (carriage house) was broken. This wouldn't be a problem in warmer weather but with nighttime temps in the 30s and 40s, the space simply was not usable. Property management did bring a space heater over right away, but after running for 24hours non-stop, the room still wasn't usable. High ceilings, bathroom, and totally separate from main house.
The following comments notwithstanding, we enjoyed our time at AWave From It All.
Minor details to be aware of:
- In cooler weather - the bedding consists of a sheet and a extremely light weight blanket. We should have contacted properth management about this, but scavenging blankets off unused beds + a couple that we brought got us through.
- As noted in the listing you will need to bring ALL consumables (dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, hand soap, TP, etc). On arrival there was 1 roll of TP per bathroom
and hotel size soaps. Advise bringing extra kitchen towels as well, there was only 1 in the house.
- A vacuum sweeper would be a nice. addition to the house. There's a broom and dust pan and a swiffer. And about 4000 feet of tile floor.
Technology:
- The internet connection was medieval. 16Mb down and 500kb up. Streaming on one TV was ok. Streaming on 2 was dicey. It's cable, so better should be possible.
- House WiFi was ok on main floor where the access point was located. Useless on the 4th floor.
- The TV's, all 8 are 2017 vintage. No support for AirPlay. Not a big deal, just don't bother downloading a bunch of content to your phone for use at the house.
- Cell reception on the main floor is almost nonexistent. Likely true for most places at this end of the Cape?
- On the 4th floor, I was able to get 5G. Connection was better and more reliable than the house WiFi.
- I brought my own Eero Pro mesh WiFi and plugged directly into the modem. That got us reliable wifi throughout the House, but not in the Carriage house.
To consider: Lot behind house and immediately adjacent have sold signs. Construction timeline? Surveyers were there during our stay.
