Double Booking

Drive 7 hours to a house that they stated was reserved to me and my family. Arrived at The house around 8 PM to find that someone’s else is already in the house! So, we contacted the host who informed us that the double-booking was done by Vrbo. He also starting telling me he was done with Vrbo because they have constantly over-booked and other issues he had with them. Contacted Vrbo and they do not issue the refund which they stated the Host was too do it. They told me they contacted the host and was going to walk the host through refunding my money. They said I would receive an email once it has been completed. Arrived home today and no word from anyone…
