I was on a business trip/ pleasure trip with my wife. It was my birthday week so we took the time to pick and plan for this unit. We had this Unit booked and paid in advance due to business meetings, etc. On the day we’re traveling down, we were one hour away, a Beach Getaway representative calls us to let’s us know the unit we had prepaid and planned was not available due to maintenance. Remember, we’re now under an hour before we were to arrive for our preplanned week. They offered other unit options … (we had previously looked at when we were preplanning- non we would have rented with time) … they presented this as if they were doing us a favor. With less than an hour away now, with no real choice, we picked another unit. I’ll mention here, the representative helping us was sincerely doing her best, yet this company was obviously limited on their options to respond to such a last minute change. Trying to work with the time frame given to us, while driving down for our week, and considering a couple of options given to us, we choose another unit. Once there, the unit was mediocre at best. This unit offered to us unfortunately had issues of its own; the beds were old and uncomfortable, the tv in the living room did nothing but buffer due to its internet connection. We reached out to the rental office. They told us there was nothing they could do. The bottom line is we can’t recommend this unit, the owner, nor this rental company, Hopefully it’s a learning experience for all.
