My family greatly enjoyed our visit to Summer Bay Orlando in March 2024. We stayed five days in a ground-floor, two-bedroom condominium. We spent most of our time at one of the two larger pools at the clubhouse and recreation pavilion. The decor in our unit felt very up to date. The entire resort--including the rental units, pools, rec center, restaurants, and grounds--felt impeccably clean, especially for such a large number of visitors. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was mostly limited to pizza and pub fare, but it was well prepared and reasonably priced. There is a Publix grocery store conveniently located just a quarter mile or so offsite, accessible by a side street. My family and I would gladly return to this resort. If we do, we will be sure to inquire on arrival about seasonal closures of certain amenities. We were sorry to miss the jet skis and the zip lines, which were open on a limited basis during our stay. We will also ask for a unit on the top floor, as we could hear footsteps and running water in the condo above us. But these are minor complaints. For accommodations, amenities, food, and service, Summer Bay offers a very nice vacation stay. I almost chose not to book at Summer Bay because of the harsh reviews I read online. In our experience, those reviews are badly undeserved.

We were impressed with our first visit to Summer Bay. The property is well maintained. There is security on the property as well. There are activities for kids to do at the activity center. The variety of pools were nice as well. I would highly recommend staying at this resort. Our family wanted to stay longer!

This is THE nastiest place I have ever stayed! Upon check in I was blown away how awful it smelt to start things off. It was hard to breath it smelt so bad of like mildew/mold. We then found a DIRTY sock in one of the beds (insert puke emoji) so we didn’t even use one of the beds. We got in late and didn’t look things fully over til morning. Then the real grossness was apparent. The floor is absolutely disgusting. Our feet were BLACK from walking on the carpet. Toenail clippings and crumbs on the floors. Food in the bottom of the garbage can. TONS of bugs in the bathrooms. Couches, floor/carpet and curtains stained and dirty. What looked to be mold around the windows with peeling paint from moisture on the walls, ceiling and windowsill. We also were parked the absolute farthest from everything and right next to the highway and the noise was awful. If I could give zero stars we would. I have videos and photos I wish I could post with this review. Soooo gross!!!!!
