The staff was absolutely amazing

The hotel’s public spaces ( except for the lobby) are not air conditioned and the airco in the room cannot keep up The fan is blowing cold air (vent is above the bed) all the time creating a very uncomfortable environment. There was no coffee maker in the room. After we asked 3 times, it finally arrived after more than two hours. The fridge died (which was replaced) and then the dishwasher died. I suspect the drain was never cleaned so water could not be pumped out. It kept beeping for hours. No one switched it off. The room and the hotel are filthy and are not cleaned. We tried to reuse our towels but after 3 days they were far from fresh and all the garbage piled up. All because of COVID-19. But when we talked to other staff members, they informed us the hotel never really suffered because the National Guard stays in the hotel. I am sure they do not pay full price and Hyatt needs to save cost, but cutting all staff and amenities? Is that really necessary with almost full occupancy? Or was there a shrewd bean counter who felt that under the cover of COVID-19 they can squeeze out some extra dollars because the National Guard member don’t complain anyway. Who really cares, right? I don’t blame the staff. They were friendly and I am sure do what they can. When I complained at checkout, out, the staff member immediately zoned out. The management of this hotel is either extremely incompetent or does not care about their customers (probably both). I would avoid this hotel.

Do not recommend. Dusty rooms, hair on bed. Stains and broken outlets. And on top of all that they charged me for rooms that were already prepaid on Orbitz. Book elsewhere.

Great location. clean current rooms. great view from the gym/rooftop.The complimentary breakfast is nice.

For a smaller hotel, i'm very impressed by the staff and the overall appearance of the hotel and room.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS GREAT STAFF WERE FRIENDLY ROOM AND VIEW WAS AMAZING

Very nice room. Great views of Empire State Building. Bathroom and shower were very modern and nice. Free breakfast was much better than typical free breakfasts, had an omelet station. Highly recommended.

All the staff were so friendly to me and my son. Felt like family. John at the bar and Kiki at the front desk were especially friendly. My son actually insisted we say goodbye to John before we left for the airport. Having an adorable kitchen in the room was wonderful for housing all the leftovers we kept bringing back. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed dinner on the roof on our first night. The view is amazing. Great location, comfortable rooms, and excellent staff. A tremendous value.
