Lovely cottage in the woods

This was a great place to stay! It was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and there were plenty of blankets, towels, etc. It has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A winding staircase leads to a spacious upstairs bedroom that has a king-sized bed. Both beds were comfortable and had comfortable pillows. There is a cute enclosed porch in the back. We were able to walk to a nice beach which had soft sand and was not too crowded - the day we were there (late July), the water was pretty warm and calm, so perfect for swimming. We were very comfortable here, and would definitely stay at this lovely property again!

Lovely and clean cottage

The minute we walked in, we could see and smell the cleanliness, nothing overpowering (because I have sensitivities), just smelled fresh! The cottage was stocked with everything we needed to cook, and very tastefully, I might add. We slept in the upstairs loft and the bed was amazingly comfortable, I have back issues and slept like a baby. The back deck and screened-in back area were an added bonus. The location is great, just a bike ride to the beach. We had a wonderful time and we will be back. Thank you Charlie!

Lovely cottage

Very peaceful. Close in proximity to New Buffalo public beach and Washington park beach. Walking distance to Michiana beach (saw beautiful sunsets). Well stocked kitchen, bathroom and linens. Perfect little getaway.

Charming home with a lovely yard.

Great location and beautiful lawn filled with trees. The home was clean, stocked with kitchen supplies and new appliances. Only issue was the upstairs bed being very uncomfortable/broken frame.

Cute and cozy, but not perfect

The house was adorable. Just how it looks in the pictures, with a well-stocked kitchen. The furnishings were lovely and it was roomy. The three-seasons porch was just adorable, with a lovely space heater it was wonderful to cuddle up in front of with a hot drink. (In the winter- it would be great in the summer, too.) Our biggest complaint was the hot water. It would run hot for a minute or two but then turn lukewarm and then frigid cold in either shower. The rest were small annoyances. The master bed rattled and clanged when we first sat on it, and we found the middle supporting legs were entirely disconnected- when we mentioned this to management, we were told it had apparently "always been that way". The electric to the porch was non-functional, and we had to trip the circuit to get it working again. Early in our visit we had to squash a large cockroach, though we only saw the one- it's clear they have been doing pest management, so hopefully the problem is well on it's way to being resolved. The house would have also benefited from extra linens as it was quite cold, and the heat was set to drop down to 65 over night. But overall, we had a nice stay. There were good restaurant options nearby, the bed was very comfortable (though the living room furniture was not), the yard was spacious- it's a lovely little get away, just needs a little work.
