Nature Seafront View

You’ll love this beach front place because of the ambiance, the outdoor space, the quiet neighborhood and the abundance that nature it has to offer. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry small pets. While staying with us arrangements can be made for whale watching, fishing charters and sailing charters. If you like to kayak you can bring your own or your own fishing boat. Enjoy the tranquility of the ocean. You are close to the Broughton Archipelago.

The guest room is a separate building from the house connected by a covered porch you will have a private entrance --- its about 500 sq ft one large room with a separate bathroom with in. Electric heat and a glass fronted wood stove there are two 8 foot sliding glass doors with covering drapes. Leading onto a 8 ft by 40 ft deck connected to the covered porch overlooking the ocean there is a self contained kitchen with a stove and fridge, dining table and lounge chairs. A door from the bathroom leads onto a large covered porch which contains chairs, a picnic table, barbecue, wine cooler, fridges a freezer and the hot tub as a common space. ALL WE ASK IS PLEASE SHOWER BEFORE HOT TUBBING.

Guest access to our home --- Drive north on Vancouver Island to Port McNiell take the BC ferry to Sointula and then its about a 20 min drive to our home in Mitchell bay. If you do not have transport we will pick you up in Sointula and if your not sure how to get to the house someone will meet you in Sointula and guide you here. Just let us know.

Tranquil water view

The view from the studio apartment is mesmerizing. The location overlooks a tranquil bay and it's easy to just spend the day watching it. But there are other things to do -- explore the island and walk the beaches. The apartment and our hosts were perfect. Donna and Frank are knowledgeable island people who are happy to share their property and their experiences.

Gorgeous and relaxing stay

We had a wonderful experience at Donna and Frank’s place. It was just absolutely so relaxing. The hosts couldn’t be any more helpful. The hot tub is divine. Our favourite part is the special visitors at night, especially sweetie pie the deer friend. It was a really special trip and we are so thankful for it.

Beautiful place to get away!

I was looking for somewhere quiet to have a reading/writing retreat. This was a fantastic property to do so! Frank and Donna are very gracious hosts, very accommodating and friendly. The views off Mitchell Bay are fantastic. And it was beautifully quiet; mostly the sound of the rain showers and the occasional cry of a gull or raven as background for my focus time. Thank you for an excellent experience, I’ll definitely return!

A place to go back.

Great hosts. The place has everything and more. And the view from the balcony is so enjoyable. Needless to say, we are keeping this listing for future trips on Malcom Island.
