I have to be honest, it's a dump. Bit of a moldy smell. But it's inexpensive, and there's breakfast, and some really nice people work there including the female night clerk who was there on Aug. 18, and the guy who takes care of a million things including breakfast.

There update of facility was a bandaid on a pig. + Room very dimly lit - need at least a table lamp. + Room condition was smelly, problems with TV, no coffee maker, danages just painted over, etc. + Breakfast was not very good. - no options for diabetics except apples. Very little put out (2 tea bags, 3 or 4 yogurt, etc) - as if they were being stingy. + Exterior - blacktop crumbling, areas of tall grass & weeds, rough abandoned building close to hotel (rough area & security / safety) + Paid way to much for room (2days) for quality of stay.

The hotel is located in a run down area of Muskegon/Norton Shores. Outside looks like band-aid attempts. Cockroaches are rampant in the rooms. I caught and killed a german Cockroach while eating in the room. Reported to front desk @11am and was told to call around 1pm for management. I called at 1:10pm and management still wasnt there. The new front desk attendant stated that "they dont do refunds" but she will talk to management and call back shortly. Still no call back. Filed claim, reported to Health and safety. Avoid this place. It may be cheaper than surrounding areas, but I wish i would have paid the extra $30 a night knowing what i know now. Side note: The continental breakfast is bleak and not worth the trip down to the lobby. Only offer oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and waffle machines. And 2 out the the 4 were not operational.

This is a bit of an older property, but it has had some recent updates, which looked promising. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke to the point where we woke up with a scratchy throat. The pillowcases were stained, and the bathroom was poorly maintained (bad paint/fixtures, etc.). I completed online check-in, where I submitted my credit card info and picture of my license, only to need to do it again at check-in anyway. The location of the property is mostly residential and the parking lot was not paved in some spots. Very very odd...

NEVER again!

It had blood on the wall next to the bed. Rust all over the tub. Not enough towels, the bathroom door did not shut unless you use force with your shoulder or foot, the bottom right side of the door was bubbled and they were vaping at the desk when we checked in. Who so I ask for some money back? I cried the entire trip, the parking lot was to full, we had to illegally park and there were odd ppl roaming outside at night.

I want to start by saying the room itself was clean, the bed comfortable and the air conditioner worked great. That said, the overall experience was challenging and left us feeling uneasy. The hallways and stairwells were noticeably dirty, likely due to high traffic, and the surrounding area felt unsafe. I’m from a similar neighborhood myself, but I don’t travel to revisit those conditions—I travel to feel safe and relaxed. If I had brought my own car instead of a rental, I would’ve been up all night watching it. When I reserved the room, I booked it for four people. However, when we arrived, there were only three towels in the room. After spending the day at Michigan’s Adventure—sweating, swimming, and being in the sun—we all needed showers. Having to go downstairs to request an extra towel before we could even settle in was frustrating. It wasn't a short walk, it felt unnecessary, especially since our reservation already indicated four guests. It wasn’t like we were trying to hide anyone. Another issue was with the room keys. On both days, our keys didnt working. The first day, we had to go back to the front desk to get them activated. The second day, after returning from Michigan’s Adventure around 6 PM, the same thing happened again. We were told it might be because the keys were near our phones, which I understand—but my sister’s key had been left in the car, untouched, and hers didn’t work either. It made us feel like the keys were being reset inte
