Welcome to Shangra La! This lower two bedroom one full bath suite has everything you need - open floor concept with fully stocked kitchen, dining area and living area. Also has washer and dryer for your convenience. This bottom floor suite is located literally just steps to the beach. Oceanside Village in Surfside Beach just a short drive to Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and other great restaurants, entertainment venues and of course the Garden City Pier. The Village has 3 pools, two outdoor with two water parks and an indoor pool for cooler days.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a coffee maker. Limited housekeeping is available.

Needed cleaning

The location is great but the house was dirty and we found underwear and other items in drawers. Also the gas grill was locked up and we could not use even after we called to see how to unlock it. Apparently the owners felt it was ok to punish us for the damage done by precious renters. I should have looked at their reviews before I rented.

The house was Pleasent and a good location to the beach. There were a few things that just needed a little maintenance as all homes do but overall I would rent again.

Needs better cleaning

The floors were dirty and nothing was moved to clean underneath. The cabinets were very unorganized and the cooking utensils were worthless, they def need an upgrade. With a large party there should be access inside from upstairs to the downstairs and vice versa. We had to go outside every time we needed to go from one floor to the other. The grill has never been cleaned and we weren't provided an extension cord to plug in the battery ran golf cart. We also weren't told about the card details. If you don't arrive by 5pm you will need to pay $20 cash per gate card and you will receive $10 back when you check out. I think with a new property management company this property could receive 5 stars

The property owner was very unresponsive. I tried contacting her several times via the vrbo messaging, text messages, and phone calls and only received one response. The only time that she called back was on the very last day of our trip when all of the electricity went out on the bottom level. Those members of our party had to sleep with no air conditioning and had to pack with flashlights. The floors were filthy...someone's contact was left on the bathroom floor in the middle of the floor so it should have at least been mopped there. There were no instructions left on how to connect to wifi so we had to figure it out on our own because of course, she didn't respond to my questions. There were many broken things in the house...it looks like things were just thrown together. One of the doors had about a 3 inch gap underneath it. There were only 2 tv's with cable which didn't go well with people having separate rooms and everyone wanting the same amenities. One bedroom didn't have a tv at all. Since I had stayed at another vrbo location in Gatlinburg the previous year and had the best communication with the owner and full and modern amenities, I expected at least half as much at this place and was very disappointed. I also called, texted, and emailed about some expensive shoes that were left there and a month and a half later...guess...no response. I will say that the location was nice...close to the beach and great distance to the shopping/eating areas.

Bad host

Floors were filthy. Multiple things though out broken/not working. Tried multiple times to get in touch with the host and she either wouldn't reply or it would take days. This was my first time using Vrbo & after this will be my last.
