Woke up full of bites went to go check the mattress myself as i pulled back on the bottom sheet a ball of women’s hair came out. I took pictures showed staff they didn’t do anything for me, and i pulled them aside because i was embarrassed, versus making it a big deal in front of clients checking in. Nothing was done and i will never book with them again!!!!!

Pro: Close to the beach. Con: no parking here at all

The Riviera Hotel South Beach has deteriorated over the last few years. The property is in appalling condition. The room was dank and smelled like mildew. The light in the bathroom barely worked. The fixtures were rusty. The blanket smelled like body odor. As I packed to leave, a cockroach scurried out from my clothing. The hallway carpet was stained, thin and ripped. Lastly, there is no security latch on the door, which from a safety standpoint is unacceptable. I have stayed there twice before, and it was simple but cute. The property needs a major overhaul. Fortunately, the staff are friendly.

Do not let the pictures fool you!! This place was horrible! The lobby wasn’t too bad but the area around is very dirty not well maintained getting to the rooms there was dirty and bags off garbage around the place. I did not finish my stay there I checked out and move to a different location

I didn't like the fact that I paid for 1 room and was put in another room/ downgrade from what I paid and no one was able to fix the problem. The manager wasn't there the qhole weekend and the staff act as if they can't do anything without the manager.

Room was good. But have not refund deposit and it been a week now

While I was checking in saw roches in lobby, made a joke saying they were checking in also ..security had 2 kill them, the room walls were dirty, the orange silk bed liner at the bottom of bed was soiled with stains, they did not have a laundry room for guests 2 do there own laundry if u wanted clean clothes u had 2 pay there fees which was ridiculously expensive per item. Our first nite the sheets and blankets were damp as if they were still wet when placed on bed had 2 use a blow dryer to dry them and that took awhile. I honestly think they didn't dry them completely and put them straight on the bed hoping they air dry and that would of happened had the a.c not be on blast in the room prior 2 us arriving thats why everything stayed damn I believe. Overall this hotel need 2 step there game up ESPECIALLY CLEANLINESS! That room was not worth the 745$ I spent for 3 days. Very disappointed

This is probably the worst hotel that I’ve ever stayed in!!! Do not stay here! The quality at this hotel is nothing as it appears to be online. I reserved this room for 4 days online. Upon arrival at 9pm on 5/13/2021 I immediately noticed how filthy this hotel is. There was dirt blood and white substance in the bed! Stains also in the ceiling and the bathroom itself was filthy.I immediately exited the room and went to request a full refund from the representative at the front desk. At that time I was informed that I would need to contact orbitz to request a refund, being that I booked through a third party. I spoke with an orbit representative about two hours later after sitting on hold and was redirected back to management at the hotel. By this time it’s almost 12am and there’s no manager on duty, however I was informed that the manager would return the next day at 11am and that I should expect a follow up phone call on the next business day. At this point I’m 12 hours away from my hometown and I can’t leave to check into another hotel because their check in times are 3pm at every location. So I’m literally forced to stay here atleast for the night. The manager calls me back the next morning as requested and in a nutshell told me that per their policy he will not grant a refund at all and that I should’ve selected the refund option when I booked the reservation! The ac is also controlled and turned off at a certain of the night! I lost out on 1000.00 I would never recommend

The riviera south beach it’s a terrible place to stay. Very dirty bad customer service. Never got anything . I don’t recommend it to no body.

I don’t even know where to start! From being discussed to irritated to sick to my stomach I have never experienced such horrible service! Photos are so deceiving! Nothing like In the photos felt so unsafe paid extra for a balcony but got a first floor two step where people can just walk right up my window! Rooms where filthy we changed rooms 3 times and we were only there from Friday night and left Sunday we arrived and spend most of our time changing rooms and going back and forth to the desk to complain about all the inconveniences! Then the roof top pool was closed ! Just to much! I’m so unhappy I was not only upset and regretful I was just overall just in shocked how bad things kept going for us in this hotel ! And mind you we weren’t the only ones complaining we heard and personally seen people making complaints just as we did some found blood on there bed things broken the first room we had smelled like basement the beds had dirt stains blankets had all kinds of marks we had to buy new towels etc to sleep put on the pillows to lay our heads and protect our faces just nasty!!!!

Very helpful staff. Felt safe at the hotel. Hotel was attempted to be face lifted to newer, but some things were done cheaply or executed poorly, like cracked tiling with holes in the floor underneath, leaking shower, etc.

Hidden charges and lying to a customer. Said free beach chairs and umbrellas. Did not say that you need to get extra paper to get it :). I had to pay for it to avoid another trip to a hotel.

The location was great it’s was clean and the staff was nice

Thank you for your feedback Fabian. We do not have daily housekeeping at this time, so we ask that guests place their garbage outside the rooms and our housekeeping staff will collect it to avoid contact and risk. We appreciate your feedback.

Your financial institution will determine how soon the hold is released from your pending charges. This process may take up to seven (7) business days, but can take up to thirty (30) days outside of the United States.
