Great time Was a bit disappointed I could not use my Best Western Card because I booked through Expedia That is f-----g BS

A little dated, but a nice location and huge room with balcony was nice. Great free breakfast buffet as well!

Pleasant stay. Quiet at night. Friendly staff at check in.

The hotel is close to Cal State Long Beach, probably within a mile. Had a corner room it was spacious and very clean for the price. Having a corner room was perfect. I would stay there again providing I could get a corner room. Only problem is the limitation on breakfast. They only gave one breakfast ticket and there was 2 of us. They also have a strict you must eat in the dining room. They watch you like a hawk. I wanted to eat in my room, this was the first time I have ever encounter this for breakfast. smh.

We had a 1 night stay this past weekend at the Best Western Golden Sails. We asked for an early check in and were told to show up about 2:00 PM. We rolled in early (about noon), and dropped off our bags. I returned a bit past 2:00 PM and was immediately given our room within 2 doors of the other person in our party. The front desk staff was very warming and efficient. Check in process took 2 minutes, max. Our room was huge. Tons of room. Everything was clean and functional. My only concerns would be the inability for the room to black out. The curtains in the room didn't nearly cover the whole window area. As luck would have it, the sun came in, aimed right at the mirror on the wall. You guessed it, the mirror directed the sun's rays right at my head in the bed. Boo! It was a bit noisy late in the evening as it seems as if PCH is some sort of motorcycle raceway. I can't say enough good things about how great the staff at the front desk is. Very nice and good at their jobs. I check into and out of about 220 hotel nights per year. This one was a pleasure.

Fabulous location for our outing to Catalina Island and trips down to Belmont Shore. The staff could not have been more accommodating and were always ready to answer questions.

Great hotel, safe convenient area, close to Cal State. Second time there, and will definitely return!

Hotel staff very friendly, Room was clean. Room was away from noise of roadway. Food good in cafe. The only negative thing about the hotel was that the hallway had a funky smell which was offensive. But room didn't smell bad.

Staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops

We like the design with two sinks. however, the shower system is too complex to control hot/cold water.

It feels worn out, although the room was fine. Maybe after some remodeling it will be nicer. But the staff followed the feel of the place--functional, but not very engaging. So adequate if you need a decent place to stay, but unremarkable and unmemorable, but it could easily be worse.

Free breakfast was great! Hot meal. Lot of choice. Not your usual toast and cereal.

The Hotel accommodation was quite good, but the restaurant could do with a little sprucing up. A better menu would be a great move here.

The hotel is very outdated needs lots of work I wound not stay there again

Kids enjoy going in the pool every day we stay at Hotel.

We were very pleased with the hotel. Older hotel but they have done a lot to keep it looking good. Enjoyed the free breakfast buffet each day. Was centrally located to a number of locations we traveled to.

I visited Long Beach with my family for a night to visit CSULB. Since my parents had me pay for the hotel, I found myself struggling to find a good deal, but still be comfortable. I definitely found it! The hotel was five, maybe ten minutes away from the school. The hotel was across the street from a shopping center where there were plenty of restaurants, stores, and a movie theater. For those on a tight budget, this location will easily save gas as you don't need to drive anywhere for some shopping or food. The room was small. But it got the job done. The beds were so comfortable! After a long day of walking at school, the beds were heaven! The only problem I had with the room was the showerhead. It kept moving as I took a shower. We booked the room for four people yet there were only two towels. But those are all small details. The FREE breakfast buffet is AMAZING! Anyone who complains is plain greedy. There is the typical bacon, eggs, and sausage but it also has waffles. You have to make them yourself using this machine but its totally worth it. There is fresh oj, cranberry juice, coffee, bagels, and cereal. What more could you ask for considering its FREE! Even as a restaurant you can enjoy the buffet for $8. Deal. Even the pool is heated. Overall, I will most definitely be staying here again if I need a hotel in Long Brach again.

Hotel staff and room very Nice. Breakfast was good too.

This is an old hotel, has been on PCH for many years. It is well maintained has larger rooms than most modern standard hotels. A beautiful pool area, lush tropical vegetation everywhere. An excellent breakfast at their restaurant next door. Good and easy access to the best of Long Beach, Seal and Hunington Beach
