Made reservations here because the price was affordable . The motel needed updates and the hallways were cold when heading to room. When we arrived in our room, the heat was OFF. It was snowing that day so you know it was cold. The breakfast was good.
While the main room was clean, comfortable & well ordered, the bathroom left a bit to be desired: Stained tub, rusty/dirty drain cover, handle, shower fixtures. The room's entry door let in so much noise & light, I could tell you the exact times each guest entered or exited their rooms or passed by ours. The water from the tap is honestly the most disgusting I've ever tasted. (Bring a case of bottled water, if you're staying here.) The official "main entrance" is situated in such a way that it's useless to guests, therefore everyone uses a "side entrance". This common entry door does not close properly, and the general layout of this hotel is poor and unwelcoming. There is also no fire door exit in the stairwell. Breakfast is served directly across from a wide open door to the laundry facilities, which isn't a problem if you don't mind eating detergent. The first floor appears to be full of resident guests who tended to linger. I will never stay here again, but maybe you're more the adventurous type. Beyond the open laundry door, none of these issues are staff related. They are clearly problems with management and facilities. Did I mention the building feels like a converted prison? It does.
Our party of four choose this location mostly due on price, location and free hot breakfast. This was your average Quality Inn although I think it could use some TLC in areas but never the less the stay was pleasant. Check in was not what we had hoped for but I won't elaborate here. The room was very clean and the HVAC system worked rather nicely. Bathroom although outdated was clean and the water was hot when needed and plenty of pressure. Breakfast was the usual fare and was tasty and again no complaints.
Very accommodating hotel staff. Great mattress and pillows allowing a good nite's sleep. Perfect location. Location was very near American Music Theater and other great Lancaster's Amish Destinations.
this former motel has been updated to a quality inn. my husband and i stayed here for a weekend getaway. i highly recommend this place now that it is a quality inn. the room was clean and updated (no more disgusting rugs in this place), the help was always smiling and the breakfast was abundant. we would definitely come back.
My wife and I stayed 4 nights here. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. The bed was comfortable and made up every day. The hot breakfast was out of this world. They had Eggs, Sausage, waffles, juice, cereal, milk, coffee,English muffins, bagels and toast. The people taking care of the food kept it well stocked and clean. Check in was easy and they even offered to up grade us to a king bedroom at no extra charge. we will definitely recommend this hotel to friend and family and stay there again. It was a challenge sometimes to get off the road or back out on it but that is true of all the hotels along this busy stretch of highway .
A couple of years ago this Quality Inn was a run down Super 8 motel. After two years this property emerged as a fully updated , clean and modern hotel. The rooms are very comfortable with pillow top beds, flat screen TV, micro/fridge , very quiet HVAC and fast WiFi. You will also find wood flooring and granite counter top vanity and sink area. The bathroom is a bit small but the shower and toilet work perfectly. The interior hallways are clean with fast elevator service to the upper floors. The Continental breakfast was wonderful offering both cold and hot options. I had a couple of minor issues and Darmesh, (I believe I have his name correct) who is the hotel general manager responded immediately with a professional and courteous manor. The staff here could not have been more helpful or friendly. In closing this hotel is close to all attractions, shopping and wonderful restaurants. We will return again
We stayed at this inn for 6 days. It's convenient to most Amish country activities. The rooms are small but clean. The first room they gave us had no carpet on the floor and the room just looked a little shabby but the innkeeper was good about getting us another room when we requested it. Our next problem was that there was only one chair in the room and there was nowhere for a second person to sit except on the bed which was a bit high. All in all, we were comfortable and the location was great. All in the desk help were friendly and helpful. They were very useful in giving us directions to various destinations.
Located on a very busy RTE30,is close to a lot of touristy stuff. Room satisfactory but after previous Quality Inn (see review Altoona Pa),this became more average. May have earned an additional star, but breakfast was not up to par. Ice and soda machine only. No candy bar/snack stuff. Also no popcorn for the micro.
We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was very clean and neat. The room was also quiet. Breakfast in the morning was good and the coffee fresh. Location was easy to get to. Just an overall good place to spend a night or two. Erika at the counter was especially friendly and made us feel welcome.
