ABOUT THE COTTAGE

Hardwood floors stretch throughout your spacious beach-chic cottage. In the living room, relax on a plush sofa bed or armchair while your favorite shows play on the 50-inch TV. A gas fireplace sets the mood on cool winter nights, and the balcony offers the perfect two-person perch for morning coffee or tea. A relaxing Gulf-inspired color palette features in each room, and upscale tropical decor adds an eclectic touch.

A custom octopus light fixture illuminates the high-end kitchen, detailed with a stainless steel side-by-side fridge, lots of granite counter space, and a four-person breakfast bar. The dining area seats six below a lovely chandelier.

Downstairs, a screened sitting area makes an inviting spot for movie nights on the 50-inch TV. A large wicker sectional offers ample seating, and a dining table seats six.

Both bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and 50-inch TVs. The shared en-suite bath has a spacious double sink vanity, water closet, and an intricately tiled walk-in shower. Extras at the home include a washer/dryer, and garage parking for two cars. Complimentary WiFi is provided.

Nicely decorated and stocked with needed kitchen and bath items. Good beds. Good location. Liked the fireplace. Strong sulphur smell from hot water heater. Was not able to use hot water until he next day. Learned it was from cleaning neighborhood water lines. No batteries in fireplace remote. TV’s in bedrooms not working. Light bulbs burned out in some fixtures. The entry codes were wrong. Had to wait for the manager to be contacted and call me to get the right code. This delayed the check in by around 45 minutes. Just before someone checks in, be sure to visit the property to make sure everything is okay.

Perfect Getaway With Garage

Great experience. The garage made everything so much easier as well. Had some issues with the door knob but was able to get assistance within a few minutes. Will definitely try again next year for this listing.

Very clean and cute place with all of the household amenities. I wouldn’t book for more than one family or a friend group of more than 4 due to the jack and Jill style one bath but it was great for us.

This VRBO is in a convenient location. It is a block from the beach, pleasure pier and an amazing park with tennis courts, extensive playground and skatepark and chick fil a! The decor is beautiful and well designed. Everything is quality! Turnkey is great to deal with as well. Very responsive and considerate!

amazing apartment

This place was absolutely perfect to bring our 2 little girls to the beach!! There was a huge playground very close by and restaurants, Pleasure Pier and the beach within walking distance. The apartment was spacious and just enough room for the 4 of us!! We definitely will be returning to this sweet little spot in the future.

My wife passed away 2 weeks earlier. I brought my son and his best friend. The quarters were beautiful and clean. It was fully equipped for any cooking need. The location was only 1 street away from the beach and all its glory. Thank you for one of the best holidays my son and I have ever been on!

Great place!

Great location and nicely decorated place. Great proximity to the beach and many restaurants. My kids also enjoyed the park and splash pad that were super close. Had issues with the wifi the first day but management corrected it the next day. Also, patio furniture was all covered or cushions were not placed out (balcony)

This home is absolutely amazing. I have rented several properties in Galveston and this one was by far the most sparkling clean. I had no complaints. We had everything we needed and the house was decorated so cute. Will definitely rent this beauty again!!

House overall was great, it does have a musty odor to it when you walk in. The bathroom was a great size for only one restroom & the kitchen was beautiful. The remote for the west bedroom did not work & there was what appeared to be bleach stains on the sheets but overall was great for a short weekend stay!

Good Location, Clean, TVs Have Issues

Nice apartment. Clean. Great location - 1 block walk to the beach. Beach equipment provided. Garage parking is a plus. If you're here for the beach and not really interested in watching TV, you will have a great time. If you are interested in watching something on TV, you might be a little frustrated. The last reviewer mentioned that porch TV being broken and the host commented claiming it had been fixed but it was still broken during my stay -- not a huge deal for us but the host commenting saying they fixed when they had not is something to note. That reviewer also mentioned blinds being broken -- the blinds that were there all worked for us but only one of the bedrooms had an extra blind to keep the room dark while the other had blinds and curtains but not sufficient to keep things dark if you want to sleep in. There are 3 other TVs at the place - they're all controlled with Logitech Harmony remotes which are very unintuitive to use and one of them seemed to be dead and wouldn't charge. The outside porch TV simply had no remote and the mgmt company (which I did contact during the stay) said they'd look into it and then said it was broken. They refunded me a little bit of $ to compensate for that.

The space is cozy and perfect for a family of four. The location can't be beat if you're wanting to be on the East-End of the island and in the thick of it -- 1.5 blocks from Pleasure Pier (although we didn't go), half a block from the city park complete with a killer skate park, tennis courts, and an awesome playground. A few great restaurants are within walking distance too. Our first impression was opening up the door to the back porch (very cute in the pics) and walking into a musty, dirty porch with covers over dirty furniture. We were apparently the first guests to use it this season. The management company took care of this almost immediately, and it was cleaned thoroughly and properly. However, the patio TV didn't work - or else we never could find a remote to turn it on. No power or volume buttons on the TV to control it either. So the kids were bummed since they wanted to hang out down there. And I was feeling a bit misled. The TV remote situation was never remedied during our stay. The upstairs was cleaned well. The beds are very soft, and the amenities are all there. Bring K-Cups for coffee, although you can use ground beans too with the insert. The kitchen had everything we needed too. Little things added up over the stay. There were no wifi instructions, although the management company was very responsive in helping us resolve this after a few tries on their end. The upstairs TV had a remote control that took us way-too-long to figure out. It was overly complicated to simply change the volume or channel. The A/C remotes in each room took a bit to figure out as well. Both of these could have been remedied with a simple guest book. Remote control candles were out of battery. Refrigerator filter needs replacement. The privacy blind (mentioned in the review and check-in email) in one of the bedrooms had apparently fallen and had not been replaced. This did not allow us to feel comfortable at night since the blinds are a bit see through with our lights on inside. Overall, a comfortable, memorable stay. We may return if things like the TV remotes and the blinds are fixed. It's a wonderful property.

Anniversary Getaway

We live in Dallas and needed a short getaway. We found this property on VRBO and fell in love right away! The house was darling and in an amazing spot. The view was unbelievable and the decor was outstanding! We would HIGHLY recommend this property. We were so happy with this place we decided to stay an extra day, so I called and we got in touch with someone right away and were able to get one more night. Galveston Motorcycle Rally

Such a beautiful place, spotlessly clean. Very comfortably furnished, plenty of cookware and dishes (big deal for me). Bedding was a tad heavy for the season, could do with a bit more layering. You may consider packing a light or medium weight blanket if you don't tend to be cold when you sleep. Unbeatable location. I had some problems finding the garage code (it was sent to me but I didn't read deeply enough), and it was super easy to get someone on the phone. You will be happy with your stay here.

Wonderful weekend

We needed a quick weekend getaway for our family of four and this property was perfect. The location could not be beat. We did not drive anywhere for the 2 days we were there as everything we needed and wanted to do was walking distance. The property was clean and beautiful. The kitchen was very well equipped. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay. We will definitely be coming back and recommending the property to our friends and family.

Great location and cute space

We had great access to the pier and skatepark. Lot's of restaurants nearby. The property managers provided some very useful beach gear (chairs, umbrella, toys). The unit is well outfitted with everything you need in the kitchen and tv's in every room. This is a rear apartment, so you do not have much for outside space. There is a nice screened in room downstairs and a small balcony on the main level.

Vaca Stay

We enjoyed our stay in galveston, and would overall give this apartment a 4 Star review. Cons: 4 split units are in the apartment, but it was still very warm. At night it would begin to cool down. Parking is very limited. You can really only fit two small vehicles in the garage. If you have a larger vehicle, you will have to find somewhere else to park. There is a universal remote to work 3 devices (which is cool) but if you are not Tech Savy, it can be difficult. Pros: It is a Quick walk to the beach, pier, and restaurants. Beautifully decorated. Very Clean. Management is quick to respond.
