I would give the location 4.5 stars, the view would've been better if higher than the 2nd floor. I take issue with the "beautifully upgraded" description, I would describe the decor as tired and dated. The beds are worn out and uncomfortable. The carpet is worn and looks dirty. A couple of the towels provided were dirty.

Great location and excursions available in the area. Fun for families. Beach is nice. They do tend to put the available beach chairs and umbrellas a little too close together. A person can’t even walk between them. staggering them would make it more relaxing. The Happy Stays app isn’t helpful when needing to check out. Their is not a check out button.

Very nice second story condo.

The condo was very clean and had little wear and tear from use. There is a clear view of the beach overlooking the pool, which is almost directly under the balcony. The rental agency has its own app and the process from check-in to checkout is clear and concise in the printable material from their app. I called the number once to get help for a minor issue and Sheila was extremely helpful and very personable. I would spend some time using a search engine to find the rental agency directly to save some money. All in all, it was a great experience working with these people!

Clean oceanfront condo

Very Clean condo right above the huge pool with great views of the ocean. Easy and quick access to both from the condo. We were worried about potential noise from the pool, as the balcony is directly above it. Very sound proof, so this was never an issue. Location of condo was in a quiet location, down the road from most restaurants and shops so it never seemed crowded around the condo or beach area. Quick drive to restaurants and shops and easy drive into Destin. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely stay here again.

We were so impressed with the entire condo. Our favorite thing was the large balcony with the awesome view of the gulf plus the pool. Parking was never a hassle. Staff was constantly cleaning up around the building. Close to restaurants and fun activities but you felt like you were in a quiet hidden resort! Stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful getaway!

Check in was seamless & the view was beautiful and closer than pictured. Less than 100 steps to the beach and in a nice non-crowded area yet still close to downtown Destin and all the restaurants. Would book again!!!

Great space, view, clean.

Loved this space. The best layout for a condo we have ever had. Check in was easy, everything was meticulously cleaned, and we had a perfect view of the gulf. There was plenty of room for all of us and we loved the personal touches of the place. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Property!

This property is incredibly clean and the amenities were fantastic! The pool is huge and the beach service was a wonderful perk. The walk to the beach is so short that it made going every day a simple task with children. Especially since we did not have to set up chairs and umbrellas!!! This property is not in the hear of Destin so it was nice to avoid that crowded area most of the time and only drive there when needed. The drive to Destin is only like ten minutes so we really enjoyed being off the beaten path.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, well equipped condo. It was one of the nicest places that we have stayed. We had everything that we needed. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we were close to the pool and beach. I will stay here again.

Very nice week at the Islander!

We enjoyed our stay at the Islander 2005. This was our 3rd time at the Islander and 1st time in this particular unit. Literally 2 minutes from room to beach makes things so easy with kids. The unit could use a pizza pan and pizza cutter, but other than that we had what we needed. Would love to see the dishwasher updated because it was hard to get them clean. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

we really enjoyed our stay the condo was very clean the pool was well kept and the walk to the beach was short. the only problem that we had was hurricane Laura hit so we could not go into the gulf (but that was nature not the condos fault)

The manager quick to respond. The place was not cleaned properly. Candy left on living room floor. Sofa bed had dirty sheets. Dirty dishes were in cabinets plates, silverware and glasses. Bedroom TV not working upon arrival. Bath tubs small and nedd deep cleaning.

Great stay

We had a great time, only down fall is the tv in the living room has a big shadow burned into it and I’m married to a huge football fan so he was kind of sad haha! Also, the tv in the master bedroom has a bright streak down it but goes away in about 15 minutes. Unit just needs some updating but it was clean and the view was great!
