It was very clean which is a must staff very friendly
Hotel was very nice and updated. Spacious lobby with a nice bar that also extends outdoors. Holiday weekend was CRAZY busy ,so be sure to get out there to get your beach/pool chair. We rented a cabana and it was so worth it during the busy days. The food and drinks at the hotel can be pricey, but there was a 7/11 within walking distance to grab some essentials for the trip to save a bit. Our hotel room and cabana both had a refrigerators. We ate in Bristol's and the burgers were delicious. The views were great. We faced the intercoastal and watched all the beautiful boats go by. The workout room had plenty of equipment and was clean. They provided headphones and towels..It was a great trip!
I was there for less than 24 hrs to attend a speci I was there for less than 24 hrs to attend a special event. Every thing about the hotel was exceptional. However I didn't realize that booking through Orbitz deprived me of my Hilton Honors credit. Won't do it again.
My only mistake was not to read the reviews before booking this hotel. So at the end of the day it was my mistake not the hotels. After reading the reviews I emailed the hotel to ask if we can be placed in a room that wont be affected by the construction. I got an e-mail fairly quickly reassuring us that we won't be affected and they will do all in their power to help us out. I had booked a ocean view room with a double bed, unfortunately when we arrived and got to the room, it was a city view with one bed, after calling the front desk they moved us up a floor with a city view room and double bed, i felt a bit ripped off since I paid the higher price and was not given an ocean view. I let it go, no big deal, the city view has its own beauty. As for the construction, its still going on, not to a point where it will bother you too much, you might hear a faint jack hammer or saw in the distance, nothing to fuss over. The staff at the front desk told us, its almost over and only the ocean view rooms were affected. The hotel it self is clean and elegant and warrants its 5 star rating. Service is hit or miss. The front desk is fantastic and courteous. The valet is great, they are always friendly and efficient. Some hotel employees may seem like they wont go out of their way to help, we only had once incident at the pool when asked about swim towels, he responded by saying they don't have anymore, then moved on. I really liked the hotel, prices maybe exorbitant at times.
Our first time going on vacation in 3 years! We were told we were going to get a beachfront with the balcony when we were checking in (which took over a half hour because there was a huge line) they told us all the beachfront don't have balcony access due to construction, and also early in the morning construction starts and there will be loud noises now I'm on the vacation I don't want to be woken up early in the morning to noises I want to sleep late!! We said OK will try it beachfront means a lot to me and my wife it was so bad we had to change rooms they told us the new room that was not beachfront wouldn't have noise but the next morning we woke up early to loud noises! Even when we were just sitting by the pool there was a lot of loud noises it was not as relaxing! It Took us a long time to save up for this vacation! We are extremely upset about this!
Great staff, always smiling!! Rooms are beautifull and bed is very comfortable. It is right off the beach. Plenty of restaurants and a huge pool
I am a local that stayed at this hotel for the weekend. What a mistake. My wife and I were visiting the beach and we were told by Hotel staff that her drink needed to be in a plastic cup. This was at the beach stand where we were renting beach equipment. My wife put her phone down and we went to our chairs. By the time we sat in our chairs she noticed her error and went back to get her phone, less than 60 seconds after leaving phone. The four staff members told us that they never saw phone. There wasn't anyone at the stand other than hotel staff. Our phone was turned off immediately. Instead of losing patience with them we went to hotel security. Hotel security could not have cared less. In fact his exact response was "What would you like me to do about it?" Honestly stay somewhere else. I never write reviews but I do read them. Please take my advice.
The hotel is beautiful and is well located. When you get there there is plenty of help outside and you are accommodated well upon check in. The rooms are newly renovated and nice and reflect the price. Then the issues set in. There is still construction and drilling and noise is an everyday occurance. Our balcony was sealed because outside was being painted. All in all it was nice inside. Outside is where there are issues. The pools are beautiful and clean. They have a lower pool and an infinity pool above the main pool and also a kids themed pool with a slide and things. The problem is kids are at all the pools. They should have the infinity pool for adults only to escape the children. They have 2 other pools to use. They play and splash at all hours of the day. If you want a drink you won't find a server. I saw 2 in the 3 days I was there. Meaning 30 hours at the pool and I saw a waiter twice. They didn't clean up well either. If you go to the bar be prepared to wait 10 minutes. The beach was nice and they have chairs and things they set up for you upon arrival. It's close. But they don't clean the beach. The debris built up over the weekend and you had to walk through it to get to the water. The actual approach to the beach is nice and it's great swimming. Parking charges per day and not 24 hours as a day. So If you have a car from 11am to 11am they charge you 2 days For the price it should reflect better
It was an amazing experience for me and my family, specially my 11 years old son, he enjoyed the pool. The only thing it was that I rented a room with a ocean view but for remodeling reason the balcony could no be open and the staff wanted to charge me more money for another room without that problem, i think that's not fair.
I have never experienced such disrespect! Hotel staff knocked on our door on more than one Ocassion to measure the shower head and change the locks on our doors WHILE WE WERE IN THE ROOM!!! One of the staff members brought to our attention that they felt it was an obligation to their guests to be aware of all of the renovations/construction prior to reserving their stay but said that management didn't feel was necessary so they don't lose business. When we brought our concerns to their attention, they refused to refund us any money for the inconvenience! Make sure u call before you book your stay! Someone said they'll be renovating until December!
Clean rooms wonderful staff all around. Great service on the beach. Thank you Luoby and Ross for taking care of us on the beach. If you go there ask for them they are great.
It's nice hotel I stayed last Saturday to Monday I planning stay 3 more day but the last day a lot the people was working in the pool area with a lot noise. My concern is any advice regarding the people been working in the area when I did the reservation. For the rest the was really good the, pool, beach, services.
Perfect hotel to relax and have fun with the family. Kids enjoyed the pool and beach kayaks and parents had fun w/ delicious margaritas. Great stay!
We recently stayed 5 days at the Diplomat. The hotel is beautiful and our room was nicer than we anticipated! We had a wrap-around porch on a corner room suite with a city view and partial ocean view. The room and hotel in general were both clean. However, our stay was not without some frustration. First of all, we were nickel and dimed for EVERYTHING. Having a package delivered to the hotel? Charge. Want water? You won't get that beyond the first day of your stay (unless, like us, you tip the maids and ask them to leave you some extra). Small breakfast? $30 for a muffin, coffee, juice, and croissant. Don't forget the mandatory 18% 'convenience fee' charged to everything even though it's often undeserved. Rivals sports bar? Lots of tv's but no sound unless you want to download an app to your phone and a bartender with an attitude that obviously thinks she's better than her work. When going out to the beach one afternoon at 4:30, we're told the guys close down chair service at 5:30. At 4:45 we take a dip in the ocean and at 5:05 we look up to find that the guys are cleaning our stuff up and taking away our chairs. When we got their attention as we ran out of the water, they told us they actually close at 5 and needed us to gather our things. You can imagine that we were frustrated and let them know on the spot. Overall, the place looks great. It's a 3.5+ star hotel, but prepare to be overcharged for everything. As a frequenter of 4/5 star hotels, this is not on par.
beautiful inside and out! Staff was wonderful. Food and bar were inviting. Only stayed 1 night but will definitely return!
Nice stay, very relaxing and classy atmosphere, A bit pricy, but enjoyed it. I would love to stayed longer. Very friendly staff.
Front staff was very professional/went way beyond to welcome us/send us nice finger food&wine& breakfast voucher to help our visit to our ailing friend.esp.thanks to Paola/at front desk.
This hotel is good for younger people traveling in groups. The semi infinite pool is nice, next to the beach. The décor is contemporary which is great. Check-in line was long which proved the popularity of the hotel. It's a good hotel overall. The cons are, distance/access to different food options. High parking costs and hotel charges.
We had very nice stay ,staff very friendly, amazing amenities we will come back
This is a great hotel with lots to do. The staff is awesome!
