At my room I found a broken handle of the sliding door the windows on the patio I found a window look like some one take the tint off All this was in the new year evening and I don’t complain about I order king size bed and get two full size bed Really bad experience for me Good luck if u going there

We stayed the week between Christmas and New Year's. We had 2 families and the adjoining rooms worked out great. The grounds and common areas are lovely and inviting. They were well maintained. The wait staff around the restaurants, pool and beach and the Hotel Bar were very friendly and quick. Most of all the hotel staff were friendly. Our rooms were clean when we arrived and the view was awesome. Our kids met lots of friends to play with and we had a great time but here is why I would not stay there again: Housekeeping in our rooms was poor. We did get fresh towels and the beds made but that was it. Our garbage, nor any extra cups or bottles were removed so it piled up during our entire stay. I'm also fairly certain they did not vacuum. The shutters between the bathroom and sleeping area provided no sound privacy for using the facilities. We could all hear each other going to the bathroom. The large lip at the bottom of the sliders leading to the balcony are dangerous. I tripped over it a few times even when I was aware of it. The hotel seems unable to accommodate the number of guests that it can hold. There was a line at the coffee shop an hour long every morning until lunch. The same wait existed at the only restaurant that served breakfast. I am also shocked that a resort that considers themselves high end allows people to save pool chairs. If you weren't up at 6am saving your chairs there was no way you got one and the beach was way overcrowded.

This hotel is a true 5 stars. Got several pools and Jacuzzis , great gym and several restaurants and bar.

Excellent location. Clean, great service and beautiful pools. Beach access. We have stayed here several times and will do so again in the future.

My only issue is that they could use more affordable dining options for kids, especially breakfast.

I feel so good because of Nice sky, Nice clouds and fabulous hotel

I was commissioned to create a professional sand sculpture for a international industry event. The resort event staff was able to accommodate our service's. And the event turned out to be a success. Nice place, although all the additional resort fees seem inappropriate. $33.00 resort fee, not sure what this covers, $36.00 to park. I mean really now.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Pros: renovated hotel rooms, 2 pools, 2 outdoor bars with food available, not too many kids Cons: pool not very clean, drinks are overpriced, large stain on carpet in my room, hotel allows people not staying at hotel to use the facilities

Overall experience, we all had a great time! Just wished we didn't lose a day because of the rain.

Great hotel cab service was not good and only one entry to the beach only one security so the first gate was locked

I booked the Diplomat over the W and upgraded to the ocean view room as well only to arrive and be told that while the room would have an ocean view I would not be able to open a window or use the balcony due to construction. I asked if there were rooms with Balconies or windows that opened so we could get fresh air and was told that "yes, those rooms did exist but, they were booked and I could not have one." I'm a Hilton Honors Gold member and that did not matter, they were very busy. So, the room . . . extremely dirty windows that were salt encrusted that marred the view of the ocean and a wood 2 x 4 jammed across the door to prevent our access to the balcony. The "construction" was not some extensive renovation or a replacement of flooring on the balcony - just new glass in the railings. That's it. A bit of plastic over this new glass and that was what was keeping us from using the balcony???? I called the manager and requested a new room and was told again that while there were rooms we could not have one of those available rooms. "How about coming up and seeing what the issue is with the balcony so we can possibly use it on this trip . . . given that I paid extra for this room . . . . given that I chose this hotel over the W that actually HAS A BALCONY I CAN USE!!!!" Nope, not interested. The Diplomat: nice hotel - good pools - beach is a bit small, be aware of the resort fee which basically covers your towels and wifi and towels and the Valet parking is HIGH!!

It was very clean which is a must staff very friendly

Hotel was very nice and updated. Spacious lobby with a nice bar that also extends outdoors. Holiday weekend was CRAZY busy ,so be sure to get out there to get your beach/pool chair. We rented a cabana and it was so worth it during the busy days. The food and drinks at the hotel can be pricey, but there was a 7/11 within walking distance to grab some essentials for the trip to save a bit. Our hotel room and cabana both had a refrigerators. We ate in Bristol's and the burgers were delicious. The views were great. We faced the intercoastal and watched all the beautiful boats go by. The workout room had plenty of equipment and was clean. They provided headphones and towels..It was a great trip!

I was there for less than 24 hrs to attend a speci I was there for less than 24 hrs to attend a special event. Every thing about the hotel was exceptional. However I didn't realize that booking through Orbitz deprived me of my Hilton Honors credit. Won't do it again.

My only mistake was not to read the reviews before booking this hotel. So at the end of the day it was my mistake not the hotels. After reading the reviews I emailed the hotel to ask if we can be placed in a room that wont be affected by the construction. I got an e-mail fairly quickly reassuring us that we won't be affected and they will do all in their power to help us out. I had booked a ocean view room with a double bed, unfortunately when we arrived and got to the room, it was a city view with one bed, after calling the front desk they moved us up a floor with a city view room and double bed, i felt a bit ripped off since I paid the higher price and was not given an ocean view. I let it go, no big deal, the city view has its own beauty. As for the construction, its still going on, not to a point where it will bother you too much, you might hear a faint jack hammer or saw in the distance, nothing to fuss over. The staff at the front desk told us, its almost over and only the ocean view rooms were affected. The hotel it self is clean and elegant and warrants its 5 star rating. Service is hit or miss. The front desk is fantastic and courteous. The valet is great, they are always friendly and efficient. Some hotel employees may seem like they wont go out of their way to help, we only had once incident at the pool when asked about swim towels, he responded by saying they don't have anymore, then moved on. I really liked the hotel, prices maybe exorbitant at times.

Our first time going on vacation in 3 years! We were told we were going to get a beachfront with the balcony when we were checking in (which took over a half hour because there was a huge line) they told us all the beachfront don't have balcony access due to construction, and also early in the morning construction starts and there will be loud noises now I'm on the vacation I don't want to be woken up early in the morning to noises I want to sleep late!! We said OK will try it beachfront means a lot to me and my wife it was so bad we had to change rooms they told us the new room that was not beachfront wouldn't have noise but the next morning we woke up early to loud noises! Even when we were just sitting by the pool there was a lot of loud noises it was not as relaxing! It Took us a long time to save up for this vacation! We are extremely upset about this!

Great staff, always smiling!! Rooms are beautifull and bed is very comfortable. It is right off the beach. Plenty of restaurants and a huge pool

I am a local that stayed at this hotel for the weekend. What a mistake. My wife and I were visiting the beach and we were told by Hotel staff that her drink needed to be in a plastic cup. This was at the beach stand where we were renting beach equipment. My wife put her phone down and we went to our chairs. By the time we sat in our chairs she noticed her error and went back to get her phone, less than 60 seconds after leaving phone. The four staff members told us that they never saw phone. There wasn't anyone at the stand other than hotel staff. Our phone was turned off immediately. Instead of losing patience with them we went to hotel security. Hotel security could not have cared less. In fact his exact response was "What would you like me to do about it?" Honestly stay somewhere else. I never write reviews but I do read them. Please take my advice.

The hotel is beautiful and is well located. When you get there there is plenty of help outside and you are accommodated well upon check in. The rooms are newly renovated and nice and reflect the price. Then the issues set in. There is still construction and drilling and noise is an everyday occurance. Our balcony was sealed because outside was being painted. All in all it was nice inside. Outside is where there are issues. The pools are beautiful and clean. They have a lower pool and an infinity pool above the main pool and also a kids themed pool with a slide and things. The problem is kids are at all the pools. They should have the infinity pool for adults only to escape the children. They have 2 other pools to use. They play and splash at all hours of the day. If you want a drink you won't find a server. I saw 2 in the 3 days I was there. Meaning 30 hours at the pool and I saw a waiter twice. They didn't clean up well either. If you go to the bar be prepared to wait 10 minutes. The beach was nice and they have chairs and things they set up for you upon arrival. It's close. But they don't clean the beach. The debris built up over the weekend and you had to walk through it to get to the water. The actual approach to the beach is nice and it's great swimming. Parking charges per day and not 24 hours as a day. So If you have a car from 11am to 11am they charge you 2 days For the price it should reflect better

It was an amazing experience for me and my family, specially my 11 years old son, he enjoyed the pool. The only thing it was that I rented a room with a ocean view but for remodeling reason the balcony could no be open and the staff wanted to charge me more money for another room without that problem, i think that's not fair.
