Our stay was ok. Staff were nice. The whole hotel needs an update.

The staff are amazing, helpful, friendly. I cannot say enough about how thoughtful the staff are!

Everything

Awful, at first looked decent with a nice lobby - but then an armed guard escorted us to the elevator which smelled like someone was smoking weed in - then arriving to the room we turn on the lights and found soooo many roaches- and the tv was damaged - didn’t even end up staying went down stairs and told them we could not stay there even for 1 night.

TLDR: Stayed at hotel and was walked in on naked due to front desk incompetence, failed to get proper refund. Roll the dice if you dare... My wife and I stayed at the Clarion in Concord for our trip to California. Overall the aesthetic could use work but the room was functional and the value proposition was great for the location. The breakfast, grab and go, was disappointing and I'm not sure it should be advertised as serving "breakfast" honestly. On our third night we had an issue where a duplicate keycard for our room was issued and we were walked in on by other guests while undressed, effectively my worst nightmare. The desk employee was rude regarding this issue and showed no empathy/understanding. The ladies at the desk in the morning were slightly more empathetic and were willing to work with Orbitz(Expedia) to issue a refund for the remaining nights of our trip. However no amount of working with the hotel or it's parent company(Choice Hotels) was able to get us a refund the night our privacy was violated. I should note that the customer support agents for Choice Hotels tried to do what they could but are unable to issue refunds directly as it is controlled at the local hotel level. To me this stay would rate 0 stars if that was an option and given my treatment I will not stay at a Choice Hotel establishment in the future and will warn away as many people as possible. This is the only recourse I have in this matter since the GM hasn't responded to me as of yet.

This hotel is dirty and disgusting. It’s worse than motel 6

The room was drafty and had roaches. Not enough towels and they were poor quality. Moved to another room which was better. Bar was closed due to Covid but area businesses are fully operational. Will be visiting Concord regularly and will stay elsewhere.

The non-smoking room smelled like fresh cigarettes and I asked for a different room. I was told they were no more rooms available. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is dirty it need some serious upgrading towels were dingy and bedding bathroom walls were dirty

I like the rooms count the mostly with all amenities, and we didn't heard any noise from other rooms. It was a plus!

The housekeeping was very accommodating. The room was clean and the hotel even serves a complimentary dinner and breakfast. Everything was perfect.

The front desk customers service was professional. outstanding A++

Property rooms needs renovation.!!!! $200 deposit for these rooms are ridiculous. But the bed was very comfortable!

I never thought I'd need a room in Concord, but we made a quick unplanned visit and scrambled for a reasonably price room for a one night stay. As an East Bay resident for numerous years, I've driven by the Clarion a million times but the only previous experience I had there was a meeting for an orientation 20 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room and the beds and lines were in great condition and clean. I didn't feel like we were staying in a cheap motel and it felt more like a 5 star than a 3 star place. The breakfast, was amazing... it was also celiac friendly, although probably not on purpose, but that was great since my wife can't eat gluten or she'll be sick for a week or so. They used real eggs and don't try to fancy-up their potatoes and the bacon was nice and crisp. They also had crepes for me and the kids and 3 kinds of juice. So, in the long run, we saved probably close to $50 by not having to go out for breakfast that morning which made the cost of the room even more delightful. Very friendly staff at the hotel and their restaurant so we felt very comfortable. My only two complaints: One, the mini fridge in our room made a loud knocking sound for several minutes every couple of hours, so it was kind of annoying at 3AM; and two, the tv remote didn't work very well. These two things weren't that big of a deal especially after that amazing breakfast. Keep up the great work, Clarion.

Nice hotel. Good food. Comfortable beds and pillows
