Birthday for Autistic Son

I rented this gorgeous lake house because my level 3 autistic son loves water but doesn’t particularly like gifts. The moment we walked into the house my entire family gasped. The decor is classy and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. We had an absolute blast playing the arcade and board games provided. There’s also corn hole and an oversized connect four game for daily fun. By day we cooked in the fully stocked kitchen, swam and kayaked in the pristine lake, and enjoyed relaxing conversations in the hot tub. In the evenings we made s’mores in the fire pit and watched movies on the Roku televisions. I highly recommend this rental to anyone who values pristine conditions and a responsive, generous host.

Exceptional!!!

This is our second time to stay at this property, and without fail, again, it was phenomenal! The location on the lake is perfect, waking up every morning to a gorgeous sunrise and also seeing a beautiful sunset, but not being in the direct heat! The lake is beautiful and clean! The house is perfect. The decor is calming, sophisticated and beautiful. It provides every essential for a family to have fun. There is ample sleeping arrangements, arcade games, hot tub, cornhole and the fire pit is extraordinary. With the way the house is laid out, downstairs like its own apartment and the third floor is a loft with two bedrooms everyone is able to retreat to their own space after a long day of having fun on the lake. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need to make lovely meals. The neighborhood is safe for long hilly walks. We were also lucky enough to see a lot of deer in the woods nearby the house. Bill , the owner, is the best .! Bill is very prompt with communications, full of knowledge and suggestions! The whole process of signing up was very easy and I highly highly recommend staying here! (Although not on the week I want hahahahha) We will return for our third year! Thanks Bill!!!

Birthday perfection!

My husband stayed with friends for a couple of nights and we came down a couple of nights for family time. He kept saying, "you are not going to want to leave!" It is a gorgeous home that has been thoughtfully decorated and is incredibly comfortable with multiple sitting areas, all with views. The proximity to the water is wonderful. The home was much more private than we expected and the neighborhood is great for walking. Lovely furnishings and so many extra touches. Yo will love it.

Great place to stay, perfect for kids and adults. Lots of things to do for all ages. Very clean. Really appreciated that there wasn’t a laundry list of rules taped to the fridge like a lot of other places. Amazing view off the deck.

A Dream Lake Vacation

The only way to describe our vacation was perfection. The house was PERFECT- sparkling clean and spacious with all the extra amenities thought of and provided for! The porch probably got the most use as we sat out in the morning, afternoon and occasionally for dinners! The citronella candles kept all the bugs away! The (what we called) “teen floor” upstairs was ideal - 2 bedrooms with a total of 4 beds and a living space complete with, in their words, “super comfy” massive sofa for watching movies! The basement with the arcade games was a plus! And the hot tub and corn hole so fun! We had brought our volleyball / badminton net and the side yard was ideal for that! Now I can’t say enough about the dock! Loaded with a lily pad, stand up paddle boards and kayaks! The girls had a phenomenal time!!! The best part, in my opinion, were the chairs for watching the sun rise and set. The lake was PERFECT - ridiculously clean, calming and uncrowded. We had rented a boat for the week in advance prior to even finding a house so our boat came from Squirrel’s Pontoon Rentals and I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience!! We’ve rented a lot of boats over the years and his equipment was in gorgeous condition , operated smoothly and Squirrel himself was a great guy! We had a phenomenal time tubing, knee boarding, cliff jumping and riding around exploring the lake. Definitely without a doubt recommend Squirrels!! Amazing Lakeside Place

We rented this place for a guys' golf trip. We were playing different courses north, east and south, so this location served as a great central home-base. The house is very spacious, all very clean and modern. We made full use of the amazing deck overlooking the lake (not a bad place to enjoy a beverage or two after a great day!). We also loved the fire pit. The pictures of the house did a great job of representing the actual space and accommodations. The beds were excellent and comfortable. The location is beautiful. Wi-fi was 5G with great connection and fast. The hot tub was just what we needed after a day out too. We could not say enough on how much we enjoyed our stay. I would give this 5+ stars if I could! Amazing Lake Home!

We had a great weekend at this stunning lake house! It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more. We are a family with two young children and it’s important that our rentals are clean, spacious, and have a variety of things to do, which is exactly what we got here. First, it was SO clean - fresh white linens and towels that made it luxurious feeling, sparkling clean floors, appliances, and bathrooms - which made us feel really safe with our kids (although we tried to stay outside so they didn’t change any of that)! Second, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and spread out, with three separate living spaces. With little kids, we love having separate rooms and areas, so we control the chaos a bit. Third, there were lots of things to do at the house! There were arcade games, board games, bags set, porch swing, fire pit, hot tub, kayaks, life jackets (adult), swimming noodles, stand up paddle boards and so much more. We were able to keep our kids entertained so much so that they were exhausted by the evenings! It would be a perfect house for an adult friends getaway, a family with a bit older children or a family gathering as some things were a little too nice or too big for our kids, but that’s a good thing! The house had everything for making great coffee (a parent MUST) and waffles in the morning complete with sprinkles (a kid TREAT) as well as all other cooking tools you might anticipate throughout your stay. In addition, they had a great laundry room, stocked cleaning supplies, bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and we were even welcomed with a bag of snacks, sunglasses, and koozies! We decided to go to the area early (checkin is 4pm for the house), so we rented a boat from Dustin Point Marina (per recommendation by owner) and it was a perfect way to spend the first day. We could have rented for other days and kept at the house since there’s an extra spot on the dock too for a rental boat, which would have been fun too. The owners were responsive and helpful with all the instructions and answering our questions. Overall, such a fun weekend and a perfect rental!
