Welcome to our brand new unit with private deck walking distance to downtown. It is Stylish and cozy studio with mid century vibes. Come and enjoy our beautiful downtown and walk to attractions and entertainments. Coffee shop and bakery are around the corner. Grocery shop and parks just few min away.
car rental is available upon request as well from the property manager.

Not what I expected

The property was close to the bus which was an inexpensive and safe transportation option for us. It went to 80% of the places we wanted to visit. The apartment itself hadn’t been cleaned 3 hours past check-in time. I contacted the host and she came and did a quick cleaning job. The 2nd day we had no water. I left 2 voicemails and a text with no response. Finally I called her again and she was unaware that the building had no water. She offered up an alternative but I didn’t want to use another facility to shower. About 4 hours later our water returned. I had originally booked another VRBO location with the same host but we were “upgraded” due to an issue at the original location. Our original location had a washer/dryer in the unit which was part of the reason I chose it. The “upgrade” had a common washer/dryer in a nearby building but you had to pay for it. Needless to say I wasn’t thrilled overall with this VRBO.

Inaccurate description, poorly maintained

Well, the aesthetics of this property were very nice, but the basics were just not there. There is a “kitchen” but the stove top range is taken apart, and not functional, there is a plastic liner and microwave sitting on top of what was the stove, and a mini fridge. The water pressure in the sink is almost nonexistent and it drips. When I contacted the owner and complained about the stove range not being functional, as the property was advertised to have one, she did reimburse me some money to accommodate having to buy different groceries. She stated that the oven itself was functional, but I did not feel safe using it with the plastic liner and microwave on top of it. The mattress felt like a futon mattress and one of the pillows was actually two couch pillows stuffed into one pillowcase. The laundry room had a leak in the roof so when it rained the floor was soaking wet. The condition of the ceiling in there meant it was obvious that this is an ongoing problem for the property. The bathroom has been nicely remodeled, the location is fantastic, but I would only recommend this property if you do not need the kitchen, and you are only staying a couple of nights.

Cute studio, perfect for our needs

Overall a great stay! I did receive an email about check-in instructions for the wrong unit (email had instructions for unit D instead of unit C), so there was a bit of a mix up when we first got in. However, when I looked into my Vrbo account the check-in instructions were for unit C and I was able to figure it out. Just a tip for the host to update the email for future guests to prevent any awkward encounters when checking in to the wrong unit. The space was great and very cozy. Included a portable heater, updated bathroom, and basic kitchen supplies. They have hand soap and shampoo/conditioner but no body soap so we had to buy some from the grocery store across the street. The pillows were also too tall for us to sleep on so we ended up buying regular sized pillows. Despite these little inconveniences this condo is honestly a great place if you’re trying to stay close to downtown on a budget. Wifi/TV worked just fine for us and showers had warm water with no issues. Street parking felt a little sketchy at night but didn’t bother us in the end.

South Addition- Anchorage

South Addison is an easy 15 minute walk to downtown Anchorage, which has plentiful restaurants and shopping. The property needs a little TLC such as ensuring windows close and tightening the kitchen sink faucet, but all in all you get a tidy and homey location with a comfortable bed and excellent location.

Great Location

The best part of renting this VRBO was Elena. She was there for me anytime of day or night. I had a few glitches but Elena was able to take care of them. Quaint and charming neighborhood. Very convenient to grocery store, bakery and easy walk to downtown Anchorage.

We arrived late in the evening to a house smelling of dog urine and a bed and mattress pad soaked in it. Even with numerous attempts we could not get ahold of the property manager until the next morning and she was not understanding or helpful. Stay away from this listing.
