Spacious & Secure Condo in a Great Location, But....

Communication with the “host” and manager was excellent. This condo is in the Tulum Country Club,part of Bahia Principe & its 4 resort hotels. Despite what the listing says, staying in the condominium does not give you the right to visit the resorts but you can buy day or night passes. There are some deals available. Check in was a challenge due to inadequate location instructions. The unit was good, but the patios are dirty and poorly maintained. The refrigerator was not working and we almost lost our groceries after the first day. The property manager had their handyman come the day after we arrived & he fixed the refrigerator, which worked fine for the remainder of our stay. The air conditioners worked great. The kitchen was modern and there's a huge dining table. Good Wi Fi downstairs. Good hot water. The shower does not have a lip and water can flood into the bedroom if the drain slows down. Only 1 floor mat, no wash cloths, only one hand towel for the kitchen and two hand towels for the 1.5 bathrooms. There was dish soap, coffee, condiments, and plenty of plates, cups, and silverware, a small coffee maker & blender. The pools are close & very nice. The location is fantastic if you have a car. The listing says it is a short walk across the bridge to the resort's beaches which is not true. It is about a mile to the beach. There is a free public beach if you have your own chairs & shade and a pricy beach club that rents lounges and umbrellas. I would stay here again.

Very quiet and relaxing

A great place to stay for a nice relaxing vacation. It is very close to the shuttle pick up area. So getting to the country club was very easy to get too. Also it is about a 19 minute walk to all the main areas.The property is up for sale and we had a showing during our breakfast one day. They did give notice that they were stopping by but we didn't realize that it was a real estate showing.The pictures aren't exactly what shape the property is. It is in need of some upkeep and care. The toliet seats are not attached(just take note on this one as it is easy to slip around lol) The blinds are very rusty and the bottom patio door doesn't close properly. There are quite a few little ants on the floor but they seem to mind their own business.The pillow cases had holes in them. The towels were stained and you could tell they have been well used. I spent my first few hours cleaning the property and I did mention that to the property managers. Under the bed and couch etc, haven't been cleaned for a long time. I did mention that the pull out couch was very dirty.The dishes needed to be washed and the utensils were rusty. (that is very normal as it is very humid)The property managers were very quick to answer and were helpful as expected. The property is wonderful and alot to do. I would suggest stopping in to the main lobby and get information what is happening around as there is no information in the unit.
