the ac/heater did not work in our 1st floor room they moved us to a smaller room on the 5th floor. the breakfast was biscuits & gravy, cold cereal & assorted bagels & rolls. only one side of the toaster worked. it took them 1/2 hour to replenish the coffee

Not my best Comfort Inn
When I checked in there was a sign at the front desk saying someone would be right back. I waited over 10 minutes for someone to arrive. The room had a musty smell. After a long day, i was too exhausted to ask for a new room and turning on the fan to pull in outside air which helped. In the morning, I noticed that overnight some of the ceiling plaster in the bathroom had fallen down due to water damage. I suspect this was the source of the musty smell. Lastly, I did have to leave early on a 6am shuttle which was on time and helpful. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am when I left but they had stuff out so I grabbed a bagel and egg patty with cheese in it to make a sandwich. Unfortunately everything was cold (the cheese was borderline frozen). I know I was 5 min early, but I think they didn't warm it up in the kitchen and instead were planning on the warming trays to heat it up. On how cold it was I'd guess they would still be only luke warm at 6:15.

Friendly Staff
Check-in was a breeze, staff very friendly and helpful. My only issue was the condition of the room (508). Upon entering, we were hit with a strong musty odor, appeared to be from the previous guest. It was a strong combination of body odor and very cheap cologne. The odor permeated throughout the entire room, into the bathroom and the bed. I took some baby wipes I had in my bag and gave the entire place a good wipe down along with some peppermint oil to mask the smell. I don’t think the pillow cases were changed because I noticed some stains and crusty things in one side so I placed the pillow on the bench across the room. Honestly, this place isn’t horrible, it just needs a really good deep clean. The carpets are stained and odorous, the furniture is outdated and chipped, the chairs are stained and ripped. I probably won’t stay here again. But, the staff are very friendly.
