The room was very nice. Two issues: 1. The hotel is currently undergoing an earthquake retrofit and has scaffolding up all the way to the 12th floor on both sides - Just a visual thing. 2. The hot water takes about 5 minutes to get up to temperature. Not sure if this was a temporary thing, but for what I paid for the room, please fix.

It took us a while after our check in time to get a room (approx. 45 minutes past) but the staff were friendly and courteous and compensated us with a voucher that we could use at the hotel bar or restaurant while we waited. It was a busy travel day so the wait was understandable.

Nice area to stay for a few days, with a beach view. We did have, scaffolding outside, low hot water, and the bathtub was clogged, but we are easy going. The staff was nice and professional, they moved us with no issues. We go there about twice a year or more.

It would be nice to have staff be friendly and welcoming to start the visit right. Other than that it was a good location next to beach but not really impressed.
