2 families together had a great time
We loved this house and everyone, even the kids, agreed we need to come back to ski Sipapu and stay at THIS house. We brought groceries and made family meals every night, we played games ALL DAY on the day it was too windy to ski, and loved relaxing and watching movies at the end of the day. We all had plenty of room for the 7 of us!

Isolated
Before you read this.... it sounds negative, but we had a fantastic trip. It is approximately 20 minutes from Sipapu. It is isolated. We did find the family dollar store (about 3.5 miles) and bought water for the slopes and drinking at the house. We didn't have a problem with drinking the tap water, just prefer bottled water.Kitchen is very open. We took all of the supper meals prepared, ready to heat up and glad we did. The kitchen has 10 forks. For a house that is able to sleep 11 (easily) we found the kitchen was in need of more supplies. The pots/pans were all flaking teflon. If you are planning on preparing your own meals (since you are in Vadito and nowhere to get food) you might have difficulty using their bowls/cookware. The kitchen had NO glass bowls to bake or use in a microwave. No large cake pan for casseroles or cakes. The kitchen also had 1 pitcher. We prefer 2.The heater is LOUD. Had a clicking noise and right next to the living room/bedrooms. First night we stayed the heater automatically went to 55 degrees at night. Downstairs people were cold. Sandra helped us with that and all was well night 2-4. The guest bathroom tubs' cold water would only stream lightly when turned on so the water was scalding. Filled with water from the kitchen to get enough water for a bath. Game room was a great room for adults and kids. Loved the pool table. Could put a blow up mattress up there also if needed.I would love to talk to the owner! (email)?

Family ski trip
The house is in a very poor location, we didn’t have any issues but the whole town looked very poor. No restaurants nearby or grocery stores (there is a family dollar) so come prepared to cook all your meals, which we did thankfully so all was good. The home was nice and clean. We had a few issues with the water but it was remedied quickly. Over all it was a great trip and it accommodated our family of 11 and one infant just fine. We went skiing at Sipapu for 3 days and sledding down a hill going towards Taos one day. We had to leave a day early because of a winter storm that came through.

decent house for skiing in Sipapu
20mins driving from Sipapu ski resort. It’s a decent house good for 2-3 families. There’s some drama due to the previous tenant. But the owner did his best to fix it. Very good and responsible communication. The furnace is a bit noisy but there’s another pellet stove can keep the house warm.
