Positives: the staff were helpful and courteous, the bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and well laid-out, the standalone desk was a good workspace, and the bed was comfortable.
Room for improvement: the hotel is definitely showing its age and signs of wear were evident throughout both common spaces and in the room itself, with some peeling wallpaper, visibly worn carpeting, furniture wear, and the like. While the rooms were large, there was little in the way of interior design with mismatched furniture, only one small and rather out-of-place decorative object on the walls, and substandard lighting including what felt almost like institutional lighting in the bathroom.
Unforgivable: the water pressure in the shower was possibly the lowest I've encountered in a hotel in the US and it took nearly 5 minutes to fully heat making for a fairly miserable shower experience. I'd suggest that a reasonable shower is a must-have at this price point.
The room is adequate if there are no other options available, but I don't think I'd return otherwise.
