Large Secluded Cabin on the Lake - NOW SLEEPS 10

This beautiful log cabin sits beside East Pond in Smithfield Maine. With direct access to the lake, you can hit the lake first thing in the morning and play all day. Or, stick closer to home and drop a line off the dock for some good old-fashioned fishing. Swimming, boating, fishing, or relaxing in the sun, however you like to relax, we have it here at Fish Upon A Star Cabins.

The Central Maine area also offers so many opportunities for indoor and outdoor fun. The cabin is centrally located to Augusta, Waterville, Skowhegan and Belgrade Lakes so you can discover all our area has to offer!

This two floor cabin boasts 4 cozy but spacious bedrooms, a large kitchen, spacious sitting room and dining room with seating for 10. The wrap around screened-in porch includes two seating areas for chatting the evening away and a dining table for meals or for family game nights.

In the warmer months, you will find a gas grill and a charcoal grill, two outdoor seating areas and a dining table. The lake side seating area circles a firepit, looking out over the private dock and swimming area. Kayaks, a canoe and pfd's are available for you to get out onto beautiful East Pond for a day of sightseeing and sunshine. Boat rentals are also available for longer excursions.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Fantastic Home for Colby College or Family Events

Book this house, you will not regret it! We rented this for our youngest daughter's Colby graduation. Amy is very responsive and so easy to deal with. While the pictures of the home look great on line, they do not do it justice. First of, it was spotless when we checked in. It is spacious and well laid out. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could need or want. There is a charming path down to the beach area where Amy had laid up wood for us in the firepit and there are lots of chairs to relax and listen to the loons calling. The screen porch would be ideal for families with kids to play after dark or in case of inclement weather. We didn't get to spend much time in the house as there were lots of grad activities, but the house is well stocked with books a, games and DVDs .We have had 2 kids go through Colby and have rented many houses over the years and hands down this was the best one! We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Great House

We went for a fall golf trip and needed a place close by to the golf course. This house was awesome and was perfect for our group. We golfed all day at nearby Belgrade Lakes (my favorite course ever) and then we went back to the house and fished off the dock, built a fire and had a great time. There were 8 of us in the group and we were very comfortable. The house was very clean and very enjoyable and had everything we needed. 10/10 weekend.

We are our annual trip in this was the nicest place we’ve stayed in, everything was top-of-the-line quality. How the pictures on her online are very accurate. Many times we’ve been surprised that nothing looks like the pictures. Had a couple questions for her, and she replied immediately. Would recommend this four bedroom house any group.

If you like loons

Wonderful place. Feels like you’re in the Maine woods. Nice to have canoe and kayaks and were easy to get in and out of water. All of us are in our 80’s and getting down to the lake was easy. The fire pit was really great too.

Treasured Family Time

This was our second trip to this lovely cabin with our extended family. Everyone felt right at home. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather for swimming and boating again. Renting a pontoon boat from the owners was definitely the highlight of this trip.

Perfect lake week

The house is spotless and well appointed with lots of room for everyone. We really appreciated the a/c and laundry. We spent lots of time by the lake, but when thunderstorms rolled through, the roomy screened porches were a wonderful bonus. The hosts were thoughtful and generous. Amazing lakefront retreat!

My family and I loved our stay at this immaculate property. The house was comfortable for our group of 5 and incredibly well-appointed with everything one could think of for cooking and relaxing as a family. Lots of little details for smaller kids too! We loved sitting by the lake and listening to the loons, especially one who hung around so close to the dock, we felt like he was part of the family! We rented a jet ski from the property owners and explored the pond, and also took some of the kayaks out. The property owners were so friendly and communication was great. Overall, an amazing trip and we hope to return!

Quiet and private setting

This home is fully furnished and lacks nothing. The beds are comfortable, linens and towels clean and not worn/frayed/stained. Kitchenware was in newer condition. The lake is a beautiful setting. Although it is in a wooded area, the property is sprayed early in season and was not an issue. GPS took us right to address. Amy was a terrific host. I actually left my personal salt and pepper mill behind as another guest tucked it away in a cupboard and I missed it when packing. Amy was prompt to package it quite well and mail it back to VT rather quickly! Thank you for providing a special place for a great get-away!

Beautiful Cabin in a beautiful setting!

We celebrated our granddaughter's 1st birthday at the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, tastefully decorated and was thoughtfully stocked for our stay. We enjoyed time at the lake, even a little canoeing and smores! We would definitely come back.
