Myself, my husband and our cats O and L stayed for just under a month this summer. Its hard to find a rental with a screen porch that also allows cats, which is why we didn't immediately ask to be moved.The driveway is steep, it also has deep erosion with jagged edges on both sides, making it hard to drive up without tires going into at least some. Contacted owner asking it to be fixed. Over a month and many messages it wasn’t repaired, even temporary. Parked at the bottom and carried everything up. Also gave owner a list of smaller repairs and existing damage. Neighbors have dogs which bark off & on throughout the night. Hot tub filtration motor is loud & gives off hot air on the porch. Motor can be heard & vibration can be felt throughout the cabin, day & night. I was told trash pickup was on Tuesday, yet every Tues it wasn't picked up. Often I’d get multiple, conflicting responses to q’s. Maybe the owner and a management company are answering, not realizing that they are giving different answers. Rental included a large refundable security deposit, a cleaning fee & sizable pet fee. I was told their cleaner charged hundreds extra for “additional cleaning & deodorizing”! We left the cabin with normal cleaning and no litterbox accidents. Earlier this summer we stayed at other rentals, and neither had any negative comments. They withheld part of the security deposit! If anything, we should have been offered a rental fee reduction due to the driveway issue.
