The elevator is original, built in 1913. There is only one elevator for Staff and guests. It broke down twice on our 1 day stay. We had to walk to our room that was on the 11th floor twice,if it wasn’t out of service it was extremely slow and had to wait 10-15 minute minimum for the elevator to arrive. This hospital is not friendly for disabled or elderly people.

The facility was really cool. There wasn't free breakfast advertised just a suggested French restaurant next door, and I didn't try it while there. But it looked good!

no windows in our room, we felt very claustrophobics and had to leave. Also, very few plug ins for devices. The coffee pot was not plugged in and we had to carry it to the bathroom to find a plug.

Room was ok. Elevator was terrible. Dining at restaurant/bar was expensive and I didn't care for their menu. Parking at $60 per night seemed excessive. Too many homeless people in the streets near it.

Rooms are very small. The walls are thin and yoi can hear everything. 65 dollars parking, there is no hotel parking like wverywhere else so be ready. Didnt like this hotel i will not be back.

Fantastic staff, great room! I would recommend bringing good shoes, the elevator always took a long time, so I ended up taking the stairs ground floor <> 5th floor. Saint James is a very good restaurant attached/adjacent to this location; I always had exceptional service and good quality of food.

The property itself it's very quaint and older but with a lot of charm. I actually really enjoyed the property. I unfortunately was there at a horrible time being as my shower tub wouldn't drain, the AC didn't work and one of the elevators broke. However, the employees could not have been more helpful. So I'm short, my stay was not pleasant but I think it was mor circumstantial than anything. Great rooftop bar and perfect location if you're headed out to the gaslamp district.
