The super 8 in Abilene Kansas is an older motel. It's seen better days. That's not to say if you need a night or two and aren't going to be spending a whole lot of time at the hotel that you should avoid it. Just be aware you are getting an older hotel with older amenities and older rooms. We have stayed there a few times in past years, but this year it seemed to be feeling its age.

The bed was very comfortable & the pillows were great. We had some trouble with the Wifi, but got help from the staff by politely pointing out that this was advertised as being available and we expected it to be available. The TV connections were ugly, but functional. There was no light outside the window, which was very helpful for sleeping. The handicapped bathroom was large and had a vent fan to the outside.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the convenient on-site parking. The location is perfect – close to local attractions and restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring Abilene. I had a peaceful night's sleep and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning, which was a great way to start the day. Booked two nights, barely made it through night one and cancelled the second one. Small tv didn’t work, room felt gross, hallways and stairwells even worse. Just a super uncomfortable unpleasant experience all around.
