Staff were responsive when we told them that the toilet in our room was broken. However there were a lot of other maintenance items in the room that we decided to just live with - broken microwave door, broken kitchen cupboard door, light switches that didn’t do anything, flickering lightbulbs above the bed, water damage on the floor by the sink, broken shutters that divided the bedroom from the living room. Additionally the standard of cleaning wasn’t great - there was a mug in the cupboard when we arrived that was filthy and very obviously hadn’t been cleaned, there was somebody else’s underwear in the dryer, and the housekeeping (when we asked them to do it) was very “once over lightly”. And there are a lot of stairs! Given we paid a premium price, it didn’t feel like a premium experience.
