I loved all the attention to detail over the Christmas holiday. The home was completely decorated for Christmas. Also it is a dog lover’s delight! Big back yard, dog bowls, and a treat jar for our fur baby’s snacks. Owner checked in on us and made sure our stay was fantastic!
Ziti our dog loved the big back yard.
The warmth of the holiday!!
Perfect way for us to celebrate Christmas away from home.
Sweet doggie accessories throughout.

This was a wonderful place to stay while in St. Joe. The hosts could not have been better. The duplex had everything that we wanted. Having a huge fenced yard with a spot light was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was outfitted with all conveniences. We absolutely loved our stay at the Crab Shack. If we can visit Florida next year, we'll stay again.

The host, Richard, was so nic e and assured me if there was anything I needed to let me know. The kitchen had small bags of assorted chips, bottles of water, a cabinet that had lots of spices, Folgers coffee, etc. The neighborhood was very quiet, and I felt safe since I was traveling alone. Great place. Intend to stay again.

Richard & Ginger were great hosts! They provided lots of restaurant and activity recommendations. Richard called to check up on us and offered special accomodations based on our unusual situation. The house was perfect for the (4) adults and dogs I traveled with. The front and back porch were great for morning coffee and happy hour cocktails. The location was perfect, we could walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Our stay in Port St. Joe was fantastic! The rental was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and more well-equipped than any place I’ve ever stayed. We had everything we needed and more. The owner was wonderful to work with, very responsive, and knowledgeable about the area. We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to stay again!

Do yourself a favor and stay at the Crab Shack! We loved it the moment we opened the door. It's the perfect getaway and located close to the beach, boating, restaurants and shopping. I've never stayed in a place with a kitchen as well furnished. The hosts are also a treasure. Richard was incredibly helpful and communicative. It was a wonderful experience all the way around. We will certainly be back again.

Crab shack was the perfect, quiet getaway for scalloping on Labor Day weekend. House was clean with cute decor and had a safe, extensive walking path behind the house. The hosts even stopped by to check and make sure we had everything we needed! Delicious recommendations for dinner within walking distance and all the kitchen attire was readily available for nights we cooked in. Highly recommend this place! Thank you! We will be back :)

Fabulous hosts!! Wish I could give them more stars! The place is on a quiet street. It was spic and span clean, adorably decorated with nice touches such as water and snacks for both humans and furries. Richard made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He had lots of information/recommendations for local restaurants and activities. It wasn’t an issue for us, but do know that this is a duplex with a shared backyard. All around lovely stay. We’ll be back soon!! Thanks y’all!!

The Crab Shack was a perfect place for a lovely get away! The accommodations were so nice. We enjoyed the quick drive to various beaches during the day, and to stroll to the downtown area for dinner and fun in the evening! The recommendations that were shared with us were fantastic!

Great location, perfect for our needs, reasonable rates!

Cute little duplex, comfy beds & furniture, extra little touches, nice outdoor spaces, loved the walking trail with all the green spaces! Met the owner and he’s funny & nice. We also loved being able to walk into town to eat, shop, and watch sunsets over the bay! The ocean was just a 10 min drive where we parked along the road at a beach path. So not crowded!!

Wonderful Place To Stay

This is the second time we have booked with Richard and Ginger. We have a yearly family trip to Port Saint Joe and always book to stay here so we can have our space with our dogs while visiting our family in town. The place is always clean, full of amenities, and is always a great price. Richard is so nice he even stopped by in person to check in to see if we needed anything. We will definitely keep staying here year after year for future family trips.

The hosts were amazing quick to respond and helpful with lots of information. I am going to build a house in Port Saint Joe and they offered for me to call them anytime for help in finding good people for the building process. They gave great tips for lots of pet friendly restaurants. The properly has a large fenced yard and they provided dog dishes and some toys which our dog Ziggy loved.i an definitely going to stay here again!
