Huge Chef’s Kitchen

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Sierra Sunset Inn. The gift basket with a bottle of wine and treats was a very nice touch. The house is very clean and well stocked. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, and all the drawers are labeled with the contents. It was cold & rainy so the fireplace was appreciated.Because the kitchen is so large the dining table is odd, and there’s not a lot of seating in the living room area. It worked ok for 4 people, but not sure it would be good for more people.

Visiting Friends

We were very happy with the house, this was our first time renting a house and i am glad we did. Though we were not there to explore the area, we enjoyed the fact that we culd go to a home rather than a hotel. The friends we went to visit also said they were going to tell anyone that came to visit them about staying there also.

We thoroughly enjoyed having this as our home base during the wedding weekend for our son and his beautiful bride. It was easy access to the freeway and wedding venue in Apple Hill, great restaurants and mini-market nearby and the home was lovely! Thank you for your hospitality!

Nice home, great location

Giving this place 5 stars because the house is nice and the location is great. The kitchen is really nice and had everything we needed. We were in the area for Passport weekend so a great location to visit the wineries. We accidentally set off the burgler alarm that we didn't know existed but the property manager was available early in the morning to help out. However there was just one issue that I hope the owners address. The outdoor space is so lovely and we happend to have great weather but there is an inoperable fountain in the backyard that was full of green sludge and slime so it was prime for a mosquito breeding ground. The mosquitos were so horrible that we could not sit outside for long as they were swarming everywhere. Otherwise I highly recommend this place.

If you're staying in El Dorado County - Book immediately!!

I have rented quite a few short-term rentals throughout the years and this listing absolutely shines above the rest! Well-stocked home (especially the kitchen), comfy, spacious, with plenty of outdoor and indoor spots to enjoy. The hosts were also very communicative and kind throughout the stay even leaving a very generous welcome package for us to partake in (wine, snacks, apple cider, etc.).

Thanksgiving

We rented this home to get the family together for Thanksgiving. It’s located 20 minutes from our daughter and granddaughter’s. Perfect size home and beautiful kitchen with cozy fireplace. Very clean and had everything we needed for our cooking needs. We love Solid Ground brewery which was an easy 2 minute walk. Loved the Fall welcome decor and treats.

All the reviews were spot on! Kitchen labeling was fantastic! Amenities were beyond! The house itself is absolutely adorable and everybody slept very nicely in all the beds. If you're around Plymouth for any reason, visit Story Winery! Super friendly staff and amazing wine!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this property, and will definitely be staying there again. The description on VRBO is accurate. This house had all the accommodations of home everything was clean. It was fully stocked with amenities and the layout and location was perfect. We loved the backyard and the views, even from sitting in the front room.

Beautiful, roomy home

Very nice home. Remodeled, modern. Nicely decorated. Quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is perfect for a family to gather. The patio area is large and comfortable. Prepared for and attended a family wedding and this was home base for 5 days. Beds are comfortable! One thing to remember is one upstairs bedroom occupant must access a bathroom either by walking through the other upstairs bedroom or use the one downstairs. No problem for us, though. A very pleasant place to stay.

Wow. Just wow!!!

What a WONDERFUL vacation property in an ideal location. We were so incredibly excited to be the first official guests to rent this home. It has been completely remodeled inside and out and has unbelievable charm. They’ve literally thought of everything to make your stay wonderful (above and beyond what other VRBO’s do. I.e. paper plates, to go coffee cups, coffee, ziplocks, games, toys, laundry, everything!!!) It’s a gorgeous home and it’s very close to several little restaurants and coffee shops. We were actually super bummed that our trip was so short. We didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy all the home has to offer, including the lovely outdoor spaces. Communication with Francesca was a breeze, check in was super easy. There are a lot of vacation rentals in El Dorado County and elsewhere that are resting on their laurels because there is limited inventory. They basically have an old cabin with old linens and furniture and are still charging a lot for it. This vacation rental really raises the bar. Very elegant, comfortable, and spacious. The attention to detail is amazing. (Your hard work did not go unnoticed!!!) It is a smart house and there are security cameras around the outside. It takes some getting used to to know it is recording you and your voice as you move around the property, obviously not facing inside the house but still take some getting used to. This is a really magical property and we can’t wait to go back!
