Place was great for dogs, no place to escape in the back yard which was our biggest concern. Good location for restaurants. We had some concerns and host was quick to respond and took care of them. House was clean, would stay again.

I was looking forward to my stay, but the overall experience was TERRIBLE. From the moment we arrived, things went wrong. The HOSTE company is NOT attentive to requests for help from the renter.1.Front door code did not work, nearly 1/2 hour in 109 degree weather outside trying to get in. They did finally give me a different code so we got in.2. No hot water for showers or washing dishes--which I had to wash by hand because the dishwasher would not start. 3. No hand soap in the bathroom or anywhere in house. COVID cases are on the rise, and there was no soap!4. Air conditioning in the bedrooms and bathroom was too cold and too strong, while the kitchen and living room were too warm.5. The HOSTE people I contacted said they would respond, even asked if they could call me and contact me, but they NEVER DID ANYTHING TO SOLVE ANY OF THE ISSUES AND THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME WHEN I SAID I WANTED TO TALK WITH THEM. DO NOT STAY HERE OR WITH THIS COMPANY--THEY ARE NOT GOOD HOSTS!

This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. The property itself was already a huge letdown — dirty, rundown, and nowhere near what the listing described. Amenities that were promised were either broken, missing, or barely functional. It was uncomfortable to the point where we questioned whether to even stay the night. To top it off, we never had hot water at all. But what truly made this the VRBO from hell was the host. When issues came up (and there were many), I reached out immediately. My messages went completely ignored for several days once I requested to be leave the property and receive a refund. When we tried contacting the host using a different phone number, and magically they responded right away. That says everything you need to know about how they operate — selectively ignoring paying guests until they’re forced to answer. They also only gave me a partial refund for unstayed nights, but we would've been out of the place the first day had they responded to us instead of ignoring me for 2 days. A vacation rental should at minimum be clean, safe, and have a host who communicates honestly. This place was none of those things. Instead, it was stressful, exhausting, and the exact opposite of the relaxing trip we had planned.I’ve used VRBO plenty of times, and this was hands-down the worst experience.

Family Visit

We enjoyed our stay very much! Home was perfect for our visit. Comfortable and clean, even the dogs enjoyed the stay with the fenced back yard. Would definitely recommend this property as it is very well maintained and managed.

Great location

It was a good location for getting to Arizona State, University, and the Scottsdale area. Quick access to the 202, Freeway. It is an older place, with updates on the inside but needs new outside furniture. We were unable to use it for our stay. We enjoyed the inside though, so if you don't need the outside amenities , you'll be OK.

Met expectations - comfortable - newly renovated - clean

Overall the property was very good to excellent. It was the best of limited choices due to low vacancy at this time of the year. The place is newly renovated - and nicely decorated. Everything worked and no issues with how to operate anything. It is close to many locations and areas -including the international airport. There is a park close by which was convenient to take our dog for walks on grass which the property has none - which we were aware. Another park a bit further, Papago park is close by where houseless people were using the parking lots and public bathrooms. The back patio has a gas fire place and barbecue which we used. The kitchen could use some updated pans and pots and some storage containers. The yard had dog multiple poops when we arrived that I picked up - which the sun had thankfully dried up. There were lots of linens, the kitchen was nicely set up, the driveway provided a dedicated parking spot, the garage was not deep enough for a regulare size pickup truck. Neighbour was cleaning his truck at 6h30 Sunday morning, and it is a busy neigbourhood with lots of vehicles and people coming by. The bed was comfortable, the neighbourhood quiet at night. Over all was satisifed despite the few small inconveniences. Papago park is close by but there were many houseless people using the parking lots and public bathrooms.

Home away from home

Enjoyed our stay while we had some home renovation projects going on. The house is very cozy and comfortable and a perfect stay for short term or longer. We only stayed a week but would have been more comfortable staying longer if needed.

Cozy home for two

Home was very comfortable, very quaint and cute for two. Nice appliances. However, coffee table is super wobbly like it’s scary to put anything in top. The handle in one of bedrooms was falling off and we couldn’t find the remote to the tv in the bedroom. otherwise it was very comfortable, owners were very responsive as well.

My stay in Scottdale

Overall, good experience and would definitely rent this place again. Nicely decorated, very comfortable beds and great backyard. Pretty well supplied except for a wine bottle opener which it now has. The property was clean except for a few remaining firework debris found on driveway/front yard. Back patio needs more lights because the 1 light doesn’t give enough illumination for patio and grilling. It was reported to Hoste that the Washer leak on 2 large wash loads. The Dryer’s lint screen was full upon my arrival. I recommend, some written instructions about lint screen cleaning along with a disposal box for it in washer/dryer rm. Having garage use was great, providing more parking space my family visiting. The issue of firepit working took almost my entire stay to resolve. The propane grill worked but the firepit didn’t. Hoste responded quickly through Vrbo app but found the process of communicating with them a little impersonal delaying efficient resolution of the issues. The local maintenance team changed the tank but used the semi-empty spare and left the empty tank. I had to recontact Hoste for both tanks be filled after the firepit lasted 5 mins upon use. Filled gas tanks should not my responsibility but checked before I arrived. The Hoste program texted me ask about renting a day early. I had to decline the offer but I did text if I could check in at 2pm instead 4pm on my arrival date but got no response. Few of the Hoste texts came from different numbers too.

No A/C, bad listening

Immediately at check in house was hot thermostat said 86 after three hours it only cooled to 78 and never got cooler our entire stay the vents in thitch and living room do not have any air flow only the bedroomsand bathroom have central a/c. Also upon check in we found urine stained pillows broken furniture outside and drug parafanalia in the back yard and garage plus animale urine and defication stain in bedrooms and spiders everywhere ,the island in kitchen has a leak so kitchen would flood if dishwasher was used this property also stated a full equipped kitchen which was not the case they only had one big pot one small pot and a small egg pan, when told of all issues nothing was done just told the would look into it , ad does not accurately describe listing
