I booked my stay at Stayable Kissimmee West from August 14 to September 11 for a double bed. Not long after checking in, I noticed my bed was unusually damp. To resolve this issue I slept in the bed farther from the air conditioner. On September 6, I spoke with a front desk staff member, Fernando, about getting a new room with a kitchen for my next stay. He told me I should hurry and book right away because rooms were running out. I explained that my air conditioner wasn’t working properly, and he said he would send someone up—but no one ever came. Instead, he discouraged me from booking through Expedia, claiming it would be more expensive, and pushed me toward another site that required a $500 deposit. He even gave me a tour of a kitchen room. After researching, I declined his offer and decided to extend my stay through Expedia instead (September 12–October 9). I told him I could not commit to six months since I was planning to buy a home soon and did not want a credit check. He then told me to note in my Expedia booking that I wanted room 244 and to follow up with his manager. The following week, I spoke with his manager. She told me I could not book the way Fernando suggested. I also reminded her about the AC issue. She promised to bring a dehumidifier and have someone fix it. Despite multiple service requests, both directly and through Expedia, nothing was ever done. The bedding had MOLD!

There are serious allegations of discriminatory practices by staff, specifically targeting Hispanic and Black residents. This includes claims that units assigned to these groups are in poor condition, citing mold, dirtiness, and safety hazards. Furthermore, maintenance requests are reportedly marked as completed without actual service. Residents also report being threatened with eviction. The review also alleges that staff discourage socialization among residents, make racist comments, and issue threats. One specific incident mentioned is the eviction of a mother with three children due to unregistered children, while, concurrently, residents with unleashed dogs causing disturbances and safety concerns are reportedly tolerated. Concerns about management extend to their own employees, with claims that staff members express fear of management due to their conduct. Regarding financial practices, it is stated that the $100 deposit is only waived for bookings made directly through the company website. For reservations made via third-party companies, a new deposit is reportedly required for each booking, even for short stays or extensions. We got there at 1PM, expecting to have an early checkin. Unfortunately, the lady in the front desk told us the internet was down and she couldn’t do a full checkin. She gave us room 209 which at first was fine, shortly after seeing the room we left to have lunch. We come back around 4pm, the staff turned on the AC Unit and it smelled like mold in the room. We asked for s different room, that room had roaches. At that point we gave up, the lady at the front desk during the night shift was rude and seemed annoyed by us asking questions. At the end we were never given a room key due to them not having internet. They couldn’t do a full checkin but still managed to charge me the room fee and the deposit fee. I wasn’t given a receipt either. I will never stay here.
