What should I bring to a spa hotel? When choosing what to take to your spa hotel, think comfort and practicality. Casual, loose-fitting apparel is perfect spa attire. Along with robes, many hotels supply toweling slippers. However, if you're planning on taking a yoga class, pack your favorite trainers or sports shoes. Hoping to spend some time in the hot tub or enjoy a dip in the pool? A swimming suit is a must. While spending all day in very little can be blissfully fun, dress codes may apply if you're at a high-quality resort. Bring a nice outfit in your bag as well — just in case.

Philadelphia Marriott Downtown
2/5 Poor
"Our room was not ready at check-in time. We were told that they were finishing up, and it would be 10-15 minutes. After a half-hour, I went back to the front desk. Our room was still not ready, but they found us another room. Unfortunately, it was never updated in their system. The next morning, three different staff members attempted to enter our room because they thought we were checking out. I thought the third person had taken care of it, but it took 2 more phone calls from the front desk to figure out we were leaving the next day. I was assured that everything was fixed, but our key cards were deactivated when we went out for the evening. We were not offered an apology or any compensation for being inconvenienced multiple times. In fact, when I asked for late checkout, the front desk person said they couldn't do it, and, after all, we'd "only waited 30 minutes" for our room at check-in. She was extremely rude and dismissive. To top it off, housekeeping tried to come in the next morning well before checkout despite the do not disturb sign. The property itself was fine, but I will never stay there again due to their disorganization and poor customer service."
