The White House was delightful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and in NOTL. House was comfortable, roomy, and well situated in the town. Once you’re parked, it’s easy to walk just about anywhere. Enjoyed two shows at Shaw Festival, went to Niagara Falls, rented bicycles, ate a lot of ice cream and drank coffee! Good restaurants nearby too. Internet was satisfactory but fine. Kitchen well equipped. We did bring some essentials like paper napkins, olive oil, coffee and filters, tea bags, plastic bags, etc. Could have brought a good knife or two. One bathroom with tub/ shower did not have a shower curtain so that was inconvenient. Might have been nice to have an umbrella for the outside table in back garden to have some sun shade. Overall, we loved our stay and loved the house. Would recommend and we would stay again sometime. Thank you!

We have stayed at The White House 3 other times. This time we were disappointed in the level of cleanliness. There were noticeable long single strands of gray hair throughout the main living quarters, master bath and master bedroom. The hairs were even on the living room couch! Also, the corner of the recessed ledge in the shower had soap scum that had not been cleaned off. The downstairs walk in shower had built up scum and slime in the two corners of the door side of the shower. Lastly, there was noticeable dust and grime on the first step going down the stairs from the kitchen. I am a very neat cleaner and detail oriented. It looked like the cleaning person or crew, did a very surfacey job and did not have an eye for detail. We stayed there one week and the place is pricey. It would have been nice if for a one week stay, they come in and do a quick towel surface and clean the bathroom toilets and sinks. To me, this should be part of the one week package. Also, the front porch has been unpainted/unstained for the past two years. The place would have much more curb appeal if the front porch was spruced up.

What a Gem!

Run, don’t walk, to book this absolutely perfect treasure of a VRBO! There isn’t one thing to change. Spotlessly clean, exquisitely charming, perfect location. The home was elegantly appointed, with top shelf bedding, linens, dish ware, furniture. Centrally located across from the Prince of Wales hotel, the historic downtown was easily accessible. As the pictures show, the cuteness factor was off the charts. 2 bedrooms and 2 single daybeds in the basement offered sleeping options for the two of us visiting NOTL. Three full baths ensured we each had our own space. It was crazy hot when we there, so we didn’t enjoy sitting outside but there was seating in the front porch and on the back patio. There was also a bbq.

I love everything about this little beautiful space ..

2nd time staying here in your beautiful cottage .. we watched the renovation when we stayed across the street .. so am happy to stay here .. everything is so close and NOTL has been a favorite place to vacation for 30 years .. it still presents itself as a small town but with big city amenities .. love the quiet peaceful nights here too Thank you for allowing us the use of your home

Short getaway

Spent 3 nights . Very clean. Best location. Lots of room for 2 couples. Spent time on the front deck people watching while enjoying the wine picked up during the day tours. Can't comment on stove and cooking supplies as we never used them. Beds are a touch narrow and a bit noisy but reasonably comfortable. The house definitely contributed to a nice holiday. Would rent again.

First Time Vrbo K&D/D&M

What a positive experience we all had. This is a lovely home, with an excellent location, to explore and enjoy the historic downtown. Exceptionally clean and well equipped, including enough tea & coffee to get us started. Despite being downtown, it was very quiet. Although we expected a dishwasher (?), having a washer & dryer AND a third bathroom with a shower, more than made up for it! This is definitely a property we would book again and recommend to others.
