The house and property were even better than the photos and Craig was a great host, even leaving us a welcome bag and personal note. I also really appreciate that the home was dog-friendly as our city pup had the best time of her life.

Check-in was seamless. The kitchen is large with a long center island allowing for multiple people to help with meal prep. There is a large fridge with a roll out freezer on the bottom. There is lots of room for dining on the deck. The waterfront was great with a large dock for tying up the party boat we rented. There are life jackets of many sizes. There is a rack of kayaks, paddle boards, and a paddle boat with easy access to the water separate from the swimming/ docking area. Great place!

So I am reviewing your beautiful home and all the great things to do at the house. The kids loved the fishing. One of the favorites. The volleyball slash badminton was a huge hit with the girls. The kayaks were clean and had life jackets were also very clean the rooms were good size especially the huge room that my cousin ended up with. We drew straws. The outdoor grill was a big hit grilled everything on its game changer. Bathrooms were very clean when we arrived. My favorite thing was going on the trail up the road a bit. I wish we could have stayed longer.wanted to see moose but settled with plenty of deer. And there was the restaurants. They were all very good. The sea dog brewery was excellent. All the scenery was fantastic. Hoping to get up there next year. Thank you for sharing the great experience. Thank you again. I will suggest to some of my friends and family.

Beautiful Rental

This large house on the water was wonderful for our large group! We highly recommend for your next vacation!The owner, Craig, was incredibly easy to communicate with, responding to questions quickly and friendly.The property was extremely clean!! The kitchen had everything we needed for indoor and outdoor cooking. There was a grill and Blackstone, which was a nice surprise to all the grillin' husbands. The deck was nice for outdoor eating, as well as games and relaxing time with everyone. The lawn was huge, which allowed us to set up the volley ball net we found in the garage. The garage also had a ping pong table, darts, and plenty of space to hang out. The laundry room was an added bonus! They also had everything we need for a toddler. All six bedrooms were spacious. There is a first floor bedroom if your guest had a difficult time with stairs. The upstairs master had its own sitting room that over looked the water. The kids really loved the basement! They had their own space to sleep (2 bedrooms), watch tv (large tv with sectional), and play games (there were plenty of fun games there for them and us to try). Now to the most important part for us, the water! This house offered a beautiful view of the lake from most of the bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and deck. We were able to kayak, boat, and fish. It was a little too cold to swim during our visit, but the lake was clean for swimming.

Perfect Gathering Spot!

The Maplewood Lakehouse is the PERFECT spot to gather with friends and family! The home itself is huge and inviting, but it's location to the town of Newport for gas, groceries, and take-out make it really stand out. This home has SO many bedrooms to accomodate our large group. We really appreciated having spaces to both be together (multiple living rooms, the game room/garage, and the kitchen/dining spaces) as well as the many bedrooms to have quiet space to recharge as well. And that's just the spaces INSIDE the home. Although we stayed here in March, we are really looking forward to returning in other seasons to enjoy the deck, the lake, and the ample yard space. The kids really enjoyed walking down the road to see more lake views, and we appreciated the fact that the home's location on a dead-end road made it safer for them to do so. We're looking forward to exploring the nearby ATV trail on our bikes next time we stay! In addition, my daughter is a wheelchair user. It can be really difficult to find a property that is comfortable and accomodates her care and mobility needs as well as this one does. We especially appreciated a first floor bathroom and bedroom (with lake view and deck access!), as well as the folding ramp left in the garage to eliminate the challenge of navigating the 3 steps into the home. I would highly recommend this property for multi-generational get-aways for extended families. You won't find a more comfortable property for your group!
