There was no shower curtain in the bathroom and none was ever provided after notifying the front desk. Also, the phone in the room did not work so all communication with front desk had to be in person.

The Blake Hotel overall was fine - it's an older building, so I wasn't expecting all the bells and whistles. The room was good for our 3-night stay, though water pressure was lacking (we were on the 11th/top floor). Location was perfect for what we wanted to do - walking distance to the French Quarter, and a trolley stop was just across the street. Jacob checked us in when we arrived and gave us some great food suggestions.

The staff was horrible. They were extremely unfriendly and non-thorough. There were dirty towels on the floor in hallway when we got off at our floor which was a prelude to the unkept room we received. The towels in our room had hair on them which was disgusting, the bedsheet was dirty and had a nasty stain, the shower water was cold and didn’t drain properly, and the room had a “city view” which is almost impossible to see beyond the dirty windows. The only perk about this hotel was its location.

The staff at the front desk was amazing. The room on the other hand was horrible we found dirty dishes on the floor and fake finger nails under the flat sheet on the bed. It also smelled like cigarettes and a heavy odor or dogs.

The trans person had a smart mouth. My room wasn’t clean properly. The shower curtain was dirty, stains on the sheets, spider webs where the fridge was, and the tub drain slowly. We requested everything to be fixed before coming back and they didn’t. We had to move rooms and the staff was filming a worker in the hall saying she was high at work and they were calling the police on her.

The hotel is old, our room was outdated, the bathroom walls were dirty , it wasn’t a good night sleep they a/c unit was loud. There is no parking you had to figure it out.
