So let me start by saying this was the cleanest cabin we've ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything you could need on your trip, such as shampoo, conditioner, k cups, etc. The location is great. It's just minutes from downtown. The owners live right next door in the big cabin mentioned in the listing. You have to meet them to check in, sign paperwork, etc just to get the key. We've never had to do this and weren't a fan on this intimate check in process. Upon booking, you are required to buy damage protection to stay here or pay a very high refundable deposit, which the owner has full discretion of keeping! We almost didn't book because of this, but we booked this trip last minute and it was the only nice one available. We also brought our 24 lb jack russell terrier mix that is 13 years old. Upon arrival we find we had to pay a refundable deposit, in addition to the damage protection, to have our dog here. The owner at check in said he must be crated whenever we weren't there, which was on the listing. She then said " WHEN I come in, if he isn't crated you'll lose your deposit. " Not IF she had to come in, but when. This creeped us out and we took our dog everywhere with us because of this statement. This felt like an invasion of privacy. Needless to say, despite the beautiful clean cabin and amenities we won't be staying here again. It's clear they've had issues with past renters, but your going to lose repeat and potential renters due to how bitter you've become. I strongly suggest you reconsider your approach to renters.
