A beautiful spot!

We had a great time. Location is beautiful. House is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The view is amazing. Pool and whirlpool were a hit. Close to stores/restaurants in Makawao. Good hiking nearby. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Really can’t say enough about the views. I spent more time enjoying the views than reading my book! Didn’t even think about turning on the TV!

Amazing place

This place is great. The views are incredible. We had a great time here and would have loved to stay longer. Watching the sunset from the hot tub, cooling down in the pool afterwards, lying in bed watching the moon set in the mornings. The quiet and peacefulness of the upcountry. Memories we will never forget.

Bliss in the Mist

Ditch the beachfront condo and stay Upcountry! The silence, the view, the flora and fauna, the rain, the winds through the eucalyptus trees, the stars - where do I stop? The winding and narrow road just adds to the feeling that you are "away from it all", but don't worry, it's actually not that far from town! I know most people come to the islands to experience the beach, but this place is paradise. Come relax.

Amazing

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are breathtaking! I am so glad we decided not to stay on the beach for this part of our trip and really wish we could have stayed longer. The host was just as amazing. If we ever come back to Maui, we are definitely staying here again.

Pualani Hale is THE home when staying in Upcountry!

If you are considering a stay in upcountry Maui, this is the home! Photos and commentary cannot accurately describe the beauty of this home and area. The terraced property and the home full of windows allows visitors to truly experience the peace of upcountry. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the deck watching the sunrise and listening to the birds. Dawn and David are amazing, kind hosts who work hard to provide a fabulous stay. Dawn helped us in so many ways with wonderful recommendations, tips, and even a ride to town for one of us when the rest were gone one day. The home is well equipped and Dawn's attention to detail makes for a special stay. We were greeted with eggs from her silkie chickens, and there were beautiful plants and flowers throughout the home. We loved enjoying the pool and hot tub, especially at sunset. The stars at night are so bright! I loved the plants, trees and flowers on the property.We were able to go to all the different areas for beaches, as well as RTH, and Haleakala. Truly the best of both worlds. We loved every minute at this lovely home and were so sad to leave. Dawn, thank you for having us, we hope to return! A hui hou, Charlotte

Amazing Property!

I can't begin to explain how beautiful this property is! The view overlooking the valley and ocean is amazing! The pool, hot tub and outdoor shower is resort quality. David was a great host, very helpful and kind. I'd stay here again 100%.

Peaceful stay upcountry

The host was so kind providing excellent service and making sure we had a fantastic experience. The highlight of the rental was the stunning views, offering panoramic vistas of the lush Maui landscape. The home itself was beautifully decorated, spacious, and had all the necessary amenities. The well-maintained grounds added to the charm, providing a peaceful retreat. Highly recommended.

Favorite part of our Hawaii vacation!

We absolutely loved this property. The pictures do not do the view justice - one of our favorite things was watching the sunrise/sunset on the deck while we enjoyed our meals, and swimming in the pool and hot tub all together. Such an amazing place and amazing hosts! Thank you for having us!!!

Beautiful Views from High Country Home

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The views are incredible! Staying up country was a different island experience . More of a local vibe . It is a steep climb of a winding road up to the house but it’s worth it. We didnt take advantage of the pool as much as we would have liked. We did a lot of sight seeing and would arrive back tired and ready for bed early. The birds sing early in the morning here. So be prepared to be up with the roosters. The house has everything you need. Comfy beds and a lovely kitchen and open living area. The morning views were just incredible. Wish we had had more time to enjoy it.

Still Dreaming of the View...

Even better in person than in listing. A calm, kind resort vibe has been cultivated with thoughtful touches. What you need and even some things you didn't know you needed at your finger tips. Upcountry Maui is probably not on everyone's itinerary and that is fantastic for those of us who find it absolutely magical and worth the drive. The view, the quiet nights, the stars, the birdsong in the morning and the cooler temperatures were just the ticket after the fun first half of our trip in Kihei. Magical and practical at the same time! Mahalo

One word - fabulous!

This is the most beautiful house that we have ever stayed in. The house design is fabulous with views of the valley and ocean from every window. The interior is immaculate with great details. Watching the sunset from the hot tub after a long hike in Haleakalā National Park was a perfect way to end the day! Granted a rainbow is not guaranteed but we had a full rainbow across the island to greet us each morning. I wish I could add a few pictures to show how fabulous it was! David was a great host - from the fresh flowers, fruit, and coffee to the flexibility with our booking. We will be back!

Vue splendide. Décoration magnifique. Beaucoup de rangements. Un peu déçue du manque de communication avec le propriétaire. Il n’y a pas de rideau (réveil très matinal 😉). Le système de literie en hauteur n’est pas très pratique (surtout pour un couple). Attention la piscine n’est accessible que sur réservation car commune. Jaccuzzi inutilisable car brûlant ( 39,5•)

Fantastic stay

This location is perfect. The views during the day are amazing but the sky at night is something I will remember for life! We enjoyed the hot tub and stargazed for hours. The house was easy to find and located close to my favorite little town in Maui. Everything was immaculate and well taken care of. The beds were extremely comfortable. The owners were responsive and helpful. I know there were other people in the property but we never saw or heard them! If I ever have the chance to come back to Maui, I will definitely stay here!

Beautiful view, peacefull abode

The property is on the high ground of the island giving a magnificent view to wake up to every morning. Location is not far from Paia which has great food and very accessible in a short amount of time. Good places to get breakfood before venturing out to the rest of the island. Property has a large kitchen with plenty of room for a family, 3 bedrooms in the upstairs, high beds that give you that perfect high of the view. Was a great place to spend our Honeymoon and David and Dawn. Thank you Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you David and Dawn.
