Beautiful Views

The best part of the property are the views. We watch ot on the water for hours with the binoculars that were provided.The kitchen was fully equipped and everything was clean and nicely furnished.The parking is tricky when you first arrive without the garage opener as you need to have the garage open already before pulling in.The home is on a busy road as well as rail road tracks but that didnt bother us.We enjoyed our stay

Great place to stay!!

We stayed in the wonderful home in Maiden Rock recently as we were attending a wedding in Pepin. Such a cute property! We would highly recommend this property. Don’t forget to stop at the Mercantile for coffee or Six Shooters for a great breakfast!Great communication for the owner! Thanks Stephanie!!

Our stay was excellent! Our group consisted of 3 couples. The cottage was beautiful & the view was STUNNING! Yes-there are trains, & they are close- so you will hear them. Three of us grew up in a rail town- so we knew what to expect. Noise machines & ear plugs provided- how thoughtful. Three in our group rode in the Tour de Pepin bicycle ride, while the other three enjoyed the Fresh Art Spring Tour. Loads of fun for all.

Gorgeous Location ... and Lots of Trains

Overall super impressed with the beauty of this home on the Mississippi (aka Lake Pepin). Gorgeous views, tons of birds, river/lake activity to watch, peaceful settings on either side of the home to enjoy outside...except trains. Lots of them. Because of where the home sits in relation to the town of Maiden Rock, the horn blows RIGHT at this location. It is jarring at first, and while you do get more used to it, it does occur day and night. The hosts provide ear plugs in each room as well as a sound machine. If you are a light sleeper, just be advised! Kitchen is fully equipped which is so refreshing when you want to make your meals on-site. Literally everything at your fingertips! Decor is so well done throughout, and clearly the guests' comfort was taken into consideration. Nothing was left broken or undone, so the hosts do a very good job maintaining the home.

Great Lake Pepin (Mississippi River) Get-away!

The house, garage and patio were great! The views of the Mississippi River/Lake Pepin were incredible. The house is on three levels so there are quite a few stairs. It’s a bit tricky getting into the garage as it is only a few feet off Hwy 35…use the remote! Just know that the property sits above the railway tracks and when we stayed there were about 8-9 trains a day. You get used to it. Communication with Stephanie was great. Overall, a great place for the right group.

A welcoming home away from home

A kitchen with it all

It was so nice to stay at a place that understands the need to be able to cook in the kitchen. Her kitchen has every utensil or pan you may need to cook your meal and she even has sharp knives! The home is located in a great location, close to many outings and very comfortable.

Great little house!

The house worked out perfectly for our family of 4. Everything was as described, but people should know this is directly next to railroad tracks. Sleeping in the lower level room it was not an issue. If you have ear plugs, no issue either. Let's of games available and the view is amazing!
