Welcome to the birds nest the perfect spot to relax and spread your wings. Located in historic Maeystown Illinois you will be flown back into time with beauty all around. Take a stroll down to the creek or listen to your favorite tunes on the vintage stereo compatible with Bluetooth. Laugh, dance and make memories in Maeystown!

The birds nest is located in historic Maeystown nestled on top of a small hill guests have access to the level lot plenty of room for pets to play! The vintage stereo is equipped with Bluetooth for guests to enjoy their own music or the radio. There is a fire TV in the main living area guests are free to access their own subscriptions or use the ones provided. There is creek access, a playground, antique shops, a pub, massage therapy, an ice cream shoppe and coffee shop located in Maeystown just down the block fell free to ask me about the hours of operation. The birds nest is a short 15 min drive from various restaurants, bars, wineries, shops, historic sites and grocery stores. We are approximately 50 min from downtown St Louis where you can find the zoo, art museum, botanical gardens, science center, St Louis Arch, Anheuser-busch brewery and much more!The house is equipped with all basic necessities such as towels, bed linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, pots/pans, kitchen utensils, plates, bowls, cups, laundry detergent ect.

No hot tub

Maeystown is a cute LITTLE town, and the house is well maintained. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that the listing said there was a hot tub (which is why I booked the house since I was driving seven hours to get there), but there was no hot tub on site. I could see where it used to be, but it should really be removed from the listing.

So charming

Such a charming place. We were traveling back home to central Wisconsin from Houston Texas and this was the perfect place to relax. Would love to check it out for a weekend and get to know more about the home itself and the immediate area. Thank you so much for the accommodations.

Stayed with my sister when we came to town for a graduation party in Waterloo and it was perfect for us - 2 bedrooms would make it great for 2 couples too! Loved the hot tub and the beds were super cozy.. we are both inspired to buy mattress toppers to try to replicate that level of comfort. Easy to get in and out of the house and the wifi keeps you connected when the cell service goes out. Would stay again!!
