This is our second stay at Molly’s property. It is the perfect place to get the kink out of your jaw and neck. So incredibly restful and comfortable. The house is perfectly appointed, down to fresh spices and really nice linens plus very comfortable beds. You need nothing but some groceries, some wine & coffee and a good book. Molly offers a great selection of jigsaws if you are so inclined. Truly the best choice on the island.

Dreamy Driftwood Cottage

My husband and I stayed 11 days on the quiet and quaint Lummi Island in the best rental ever !! Communication was fantastic. The place immaculately clean. The pics don’t do it justice, the views and outside areas are great. I worked six of the days and the WiFi never failed. The amenities were lovely…good towels, soft sheets, nice beds, and really well stocked kitchen. Read the description well as the owners tell you all you need to know about the island.we thought Driftwood Dreams was truly dreamy!! Total 5 star stay!

Lummi Perfection

The home is adorable, comfortable, well-stocked, and spotless. We spent several days here and fell in love with the quaint island and this home! The photos are gorgeous and accurate but don’t do it justice. We spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful views and plush outdoor seating! Perfect way to relax and de-stress from daily life. The host was very responsive. 10/10 highly recommend!

Beautiful relaxing long weekend

My wife and I wanted to take a weekend away from the city somewhere private with a pretty view. DD fit the bill for us perfectly. We had a great stay relaxing, recharging, and enjoying each others company and the gorgeous views. We enjoyed watching all the various bird activity from the deck. One real beach access a short drive away good for a stroll. Molly was a great host, gracious and accommodating. We'd love a return trip.

Sunny Stay

We loved everything about this house and our stay. The owners have taken the time to think about all the little things. Kitchen shears? Check! Labeled lights? Check! Extra pillows? Check! Amazing shower? Check! The only criticism we have is the Ring alarm on the back porch and master bedroom back porch. Don’t mind the need for security and Ring alarms and cameras (ie front entrance), but having video cameras observing you on living space (back porches) was ever present. I get it. But eh, could have done without them. Again, awesome location. Thank you to the owners for creating a great stay.

Fantastic stay!

We absolutely loved our time at driftwood dreams! Molly was helpful and responsive. What a nice touch that the door code had been programmed to a number we would know and easily recall! The home is beautiful and clean and each space is so thoughtfully appointed! We loved cooking in the kitchen, we enjoyed spending time by both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable! We loved the peaceful vibe on Lummi island and found the local community to be so warm and welcoming! We would welcome the opportunity to return!

We knew we would have a great stay seeing the listing and pictures, but when we got to the home, it far exceeded the those expectations! This home is really loved and cared for and it can truly be felt. We definitely want to stay here again in the future!

Relaxing

Before we got there, we got a message that there was a problem with the lock system on the door. It wasn't repaired before we left, so it was a little nerve-racking knowing the house wasn't locked up with our belongings in there, but it was okay. Everything else was terrific. We were there as a family to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it was exactly what we needed. The view, the comfort of the beds, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots and pans we needed. Make sure you go to the grocery store before you head to the house. They have a tiny store on the island. I definitely recommend this home.

Dreamy house and location

The name of this property is accurate and the views and home are outstanding. Lummi is the perfect place to relax, read a book and watch the ferry- the Watcom Chief- make it’s many trips across the straight. The sunsets are spectacular, we saw ocean otters and enjoyed driving around the island to check out the sights and beaches. We hiked to the top of the island which was pleasant and had amazing views of Orcas- reviews are correct, first 1/4 mile was steep! The Lummi Island Heritage Trust has also recently opened some new areas to explore which were beautiful. We did stay on the island midweek so be warned there is not much open, other than the store. On Thursday night the beach store cafe opened and that was one of our favorite meals. Otherwise we would recommend the Lummi fish market which is on the reservation before you get on the ferry. We also loved the farm stand on centerview which had an amazing array of specialty items, cheeses, fresh produce and even some local fish. The house as mentioned is very clean and well appointed and communication with Molly was great. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing locale this is the place for you. We loved the signs to “drive islandly- mindfully, lovingly and slowly”… Overall, could not recommend this spot more.

Great views, perfectly comfortable home…would stay again!

Really nice home with the perfect amount of amenities which made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We also loved having outdoor decks on both the first and second floors. The home was very clean and modern but not overstated. We would definitely stay here again!

The Best place on Lummi

This is a great home on Lummi Island. Everything is 5 stars: The view (of course), the kitchen cook ware (even sharp knives!), the layout- no waisted space, the communication, cleanliness, the warm blankets for cool evenings, and the 2 decks with comfortable chairs/table. We love the relaxing vibe on Lummi. One enters “island time” the moment you line up for the ferry. If you are thinking of going to Lummi you will be happy if your goal is to kick back, read, play games, and hike just a little bit. Leave your bug spray at home, enjoy the cool NW and stay here! We most definitely found our new go to rental and hope to go back again and again!

Beautiful Home

A beautiful home very well designed. The view is sooo beautiful, so relaxing. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house inside & items especially kitchen stuff available to use. The master bed-we were not a fan of it, killed our backs but the other beds were great & plenty of pillows. The gravel driveway is steep with a tight turnaround. But all in all it was a wonderful stay we enjoyed it very much. Also great communication with the owner.

Beautiful and Cozy

We did a girls weekend here (in the winter) with the intent of a little exploring and a lot of relaxing. This house was perfect for both. It was located close to the ferry dock, and the owner shared a variety of activities to do around the island. The house was very clean. Our favorite part was relaxing on the comfy couches by the fire place, while enjoying the gorgeous views of the water! We would definitely stay here again.

Great house on wonderful island

Driftwood dreams was a great house on Lummi island very close to the ferry terminal. The house was well appointed, great appliances and kitchen and a really nice deck and fireplaces/pits. Very clean and comfortable rooms with great views. Communication was a breeze and the check-in/out process a breeze.

Great Escape

We loved staying at Driftwood Dreams. We wanted a place with a view and it delivered! The property was exactly as described and made for a perfect Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The kitchen was very well stocked and the home was very clean. The driveway is a very steep, gravel drive so we were very glad we had a 4WD vehicle. A neighbor's dog barked (for about an hour) early in the morning on our first morning, but overall it was a very quiet and relaxing long weekend for us. The public beach, library, and small store are an easy walk even for a child and a grandpa. We explored the walking paths at Otto Preserve and the views from Sunset Beach and participated in the Lummi Beach School Turkey Trot. We would definitely stay on this property again and would recommend it to friends.

Stunning winter mountain and water views

This place made for the most wonderful restful island retreat. The easterly views of Mt Baker and surroundings were gorgeous, and watching the whitecaps on the ocean out the spectacular front windows made for good meditative reflection. The rooms were spotless and cozy, the kitchen had everything I needed for some fun cooking. The host is thoughtful, easy and clear in communications. I walked to the cafe one afternoon, and there were good local events on Lummi the weekend I was there, I look forward to going back!
