The home was lacking simple kitchen supplies (wine glasses, enough forks to have dinner and dessert, and basic utensils for cooking). As well, the sponges to clean the kitchen and dishes were used and dirty. The fridge was set too cold as well so in the morning we woke up to icy milk and juice and ruined yogurt and fruit. The bathroom door handle was falling off and there were no directions for WiFi access other than what was sent to us in an email that we couldn’t access because we didn’t have WiFi. The beds are very, very hard and the pillows are very cheap… not comfortable at all! Lastly, the host, Cara, was very responsive but we had to make an adjustment to our trip to do a death in the family and she was unwilling to work with us to refund a portion of our stay. While we understand the 14 day policy and respect that completely sometimes there are circumstances that are out of our control and we ended up having to stay at a hotel for two nights and had simply asked for a refund or credit on those two nights and she was unwilling. Although after staying there we would likely not go back. It’s a nice location but needs some simple upgrades, including mattress toppers and a trip to Walmart’s kitchen section, to improve this home.
