Wonderful Kihei location with a great view. Not as busy as Kamaole area with a beautiful 2-mile stretch of beach right next door. Great for early morning walks with numerous turtles resting on the beach. Afternoons can be extremely windy, which helps keep it cool. We never used the AC. Menehune Shores is always our go-to spot when we stay on Maui. It's aging but is well maintained and clean.

Loved it

The condo was amazing and had an amazing view. The only thing that i was a little sad about was the muddy water. It stayed a brown color the whole time. But once you looked past that, the view was amazing! Wonderful neighborhood and not far from little shops, great food and great beaches. The host was a delight to deal with. I couldnt have been happier with the condo. Definitly recommend them. The condo was very clean and you could smell the resturant right down stairs, such a delight!

All the best of Maui from here!

Stellar location! So good that we raced to be home in time for every sunset. The balcony provides amazing views of the sunset and entire bay around Kihei. Why go to the resorts when you can have waterfront access in a quiet place. They have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. They check in after your first day to make sure it’s going well. Highly recommend!

The best ocean views

It was a great place to stay and great directions. We were given the wrong door code, but that was quickly remedied. Sunsets were beautiful. Great to have a restaurant downstairs and an area of the ocean that was only 3-4 feet deep.

Whale watching at breakfast on lanai

Menuhune is located right on the water. It is easy to get to, modest and not pretentious. Since all of the beaches are public, I see no reason to stay anywhere else. The accommodations were as pictured. We did sit on the balcony and watch the whales play every morning. (we were there in late Jan. early Feb.)

This is our favorite property in Maui & have stayed at this location several times. We love being pretty close to the airport & the view from almost every room is a beautiful ocean view & they also have a nice pool area.

Beautiful Location and Everything We Needed

My husband and I recently stayed two weeks at Menehune Shores and had an amazing time. This condo was upper clean and comfortable. The views from the lanai are unsurpassed with majestic views of the sunset each evening and outrigger canoes and stand up paddle boarders each morning. We like to cook in for many of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed from a crockpot to circuleon cookware and sharp knives. There was a choice of coffee brewers, either good old Mr. Coffee to the single use Kuerig. We used the pick up feature at the local Safeway for our groceries because who wants to spend grocery shopping on vacation.The king bed was comfortable and the bedroom fan kept the room cool at night. When we stayed the condo came with two Tommy Bahama beach chairs as well as several beach towels. There were coolers and some beach toys that had been left by previous guests, I can’t say if they are always there.We were thrilled to learn that the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles came into the enclosed swimming area each morning to rest all day after their evening of eating. It was not uncommon to see between 6 and 8 turtles sunning themselves each day. Don’t overlook visiting the Hawaiian Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. It’s right next door to Menehune Shores, it’s small but amazingly informative. Ask for Joseph, he’s friendly and knowledgeable. Lastly, the grounds crew keep this property shipshape and are friendly and happy to answer questions.

Great condo

Love the property - we have stayed at Menehune Shores for over 30 years and think this unit rates as one of the top. Although it is west facing, the unit doesn't get hit directly with the afternoon sun. We'll be back! One thing you might consider would be to move the couch so it is facing the lanai, not the other wall. That way the guest can look straight out at the water instead of turning their heads. Just a thought! Thank you so much.

Perfect for us.

Incredible views from this one bedroom condo. About a mile from down the road from the food and shopping. There is a nice pool but you can also go to the small sandy beach located next to the property. The complex has a break wall so there is a nice calm area to snorkel and see a variety of fish in the rocks. The turtles also like to hang out by the wall. I saw more turtles here than on our snorkeling trip. The unit has all the basics and is reasonably priced. We got our money's worth just having coffee on the balcony in the morning.

Amazing getaway!

This condo might have been even better than the pics! The kitchen is stocked, the bed is big and comfortable, the living room is spacious and accommodating and looks out over the sea, and the balcony is just a bonus. The place is quiet and not crowded, and all was just perfect for staying in or going out. Speaking of which, the location is central to everything. 10/10 would stay again!

Beautiful and peaceful place!

This stay was perfect! The view is breathtaking and when you step out onto the lanai it feels like you are hovering over the ocean! The palm tree makes for a beautiful addition to the stunning views for pictures and gazing out onto the ocean. The view can be seen from the kitchen and while relaxing in the living room. Adequately clean and had all of the things one might need for cooking which we did everyday. The bed is amazingly soft and the pillows were perfect for us. The lagoon and ocean just outside the property is perfect for swimming and relaxing and easy to access especially with the provided chairs and beach accessories. We highly recommended making this your next vacation spot!

Great ocean views

The ocean view was spectacular. Condo was dated but clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and good quality cookware and knives. Bed was super comfy. Could have used more towels and the beach towels were great for the pool but not for the beach. Thanks for providing beach chairs, umbrella and cooler! We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful view, nice unit, not my favorite complex

Pros: Incredible view and right on the water; the breakwater (an old fishing pond) right outside of the complex was great to provide calm water, especially for kiddos; unit was clean; check-in was easy; parking was ample Cons: The pool is not heated! It was colder than the ocean on most days so we barely got in. I wish we would have had that option with our kiddo. Also, this part of the island is exceptionally windy (obviously not a review of this unit, but still important to know).

Lovely condo and location

Perfectly clean, great bed, very nice sheets, super comfortable furniture, shower is great, lovely decor, amazing view (obviously). Also, the food at the Indian restaurant is superb and the staff are wonderful there as well. The location was perfect for us! The west/slightly northwest view meant the bright afternoon sun was shaded on the deck so we could comfortably sit out there anytime. This trip was mid/late January and we saw many whales from our deck (with good quality binoculars that we brought...highly recommend bringing those). All interactions with the property managers were excellent and all our needs were met.

Fantastic location

We have visited Maui 20+ times and have stayed at multiple locations. You can’t beat the view and location here. The rooftop deck and grills is an added bonus.

My favorite place to stay in Kihei!

Communication before and during my stay was so good. Never had a problem with getting in touch. Check in was smooth. From walking through the door and seeing how clean this unit is to leaving, I had a wonderful time. Fully stocked with everything you could ever need during your stay. I will hope to come back and stay here again when available! 5 Stars!

Great location & beautiful view.

My family and I had the best time. It was the right amount of relaxation we needed just to start our Summer off right. Beach view was beautiful. I especially appreciated the amouht of utensils, spice rack, and some condiments the property came with. If there were any suggestions I had it would be tha5 a supply of a small foil, ketchup, and shoyu would greatly appreciated. And a swifter or broom and dust pan. Because kitchen and bathroom is tile and my family are the type to clean up as much as we can. Again we STILL had such a great time and do not have any regrets booking this place. Thank you for letting us stay!
