Peaceful Getaway

This is a great put together home situated in the most peaceful of environments. Minutes from the lake, great hiking and beautiful views. The home had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our time here.

Perfect relaxing location!

Loved staying here! VERY clean and quiet location. The river off the back deck was wonderful. Perfect place to spend a few days relaxing & unplugging. Will definitely be back!

Carefully curated furnishings create a warm and charming atmosphere that welcomes both loyal visitors and newcomers alike. The 2016 kitchen expansion transformed it into a beautiful space with concrete countertops, updated appliances, and a rustic country sink. The new dining room boasts river views, while the deck outside is perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. Three spacious king-sized bedrooms cater to your comfort, with the primary suite featuring a gas fireplace and a large flatscreen TV. The adjoining bathroom adds convenience. Seasonal BBQs are available, complete with propane and tanks. Just remember to check tank levels and contact your local contact for replacements. Entertainment options include a Roku/VCR/DVD setup, but please note that fires or firepits are not allowed due to county restrictions. Clear communication about occupancy and parking limits ensures a hassle-free stay with free parking for three vehicles. Chinook Lake Cabin is a true nature lover's paradise. Whether you're a loyal guest or a first-time visitor, its amenities, location, and undeniable charm will win you over. Our stay was simply wonderful, and we can't wait to return. Best of Everything

This place is amazing! Location, cleanliness, amenities. We really loved being right on the river and close enough to walk to everything. The house was thoughtfully supplied with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed all the details and the decor as well! We will be back!

The kitchen was well stocked. The decorations were eclectic and creative. The recent renovations were much appreciated. The river rushing next to the house was amazing but something to note for when snow melt is still contributing to the river. It was pretty loud, so one would need to appreciate that or they might find it distracting.

Text was confusing

I followed the departure instructions of being out by 10am and left the property at 8:45am. I was then in no cell coverage until afternoon when I saw a vrbo text from 9:12am requesting me to respond when I check out!!! I responded, but then it looks like I checked out late. Why wad this text necessary? Am I going to be charged?

Wallowa June Stay

House was clean and nicely located on the south end of Wallowa lake next to the Wallowa river. Couple of nitpicks for us, would like to have seen proper nightstands with proper lamps in the master bedroom. The tree light things were not helpful. Also another reading lamp in the living room next to one of the big chairs would have been nice. The bed was comfortable, the dishwasher nice and quiet. Great set of dishes, but a salad bowl and a medium size fry pan would have been useful.

Beautiful area

We loved the house . Very clean and very well stocked . Only thing we found negative was no counter in 2nd bathroom and king beds are to large for 2 smaller bedrooms. Hard to get around . Also no closets in either . But all in all beautiful home right on the river . Will be going back . The positives out way the negative by far .
