Blue Cabana was a great find and helped us enjoy our visit to the area for our 20 year anniversary! It was fall break for our teenage son, so we made it a family trip. There was plenty of room for the three of us. The unit was clean and well furnished. While the weather wasn’t adequate for much beach time, the view from the balcony each morning for sunrise was beautiful! When we did venture down the walk was short and easy. The area is very quiet, which we loved! If we find ourselves back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!

I can’t recommend staying at this property due to the beds in both bedrooms.We realized the first night when every move & turn made the bed creak. The beds aren’t comfortable either. I’m small physique and my husband is 175lbs. My husband slept in other room and said those beds were just as bad. We had also been notified the first day that the dishwasher was broken. We had to hand wash dishes the entire stay. The property manager communicated well enough and gave us a very small- token credit. We ended up leaving a day early. At this price point, a restful night in a comfortable bed should be a given. I shared our experience with the property mgr and saw another review after our trip was over that had also complained about the beds. I was told by property mgr “We are sorry they didn’t work for you. We have not been able to replicate any issues with the beds. The owners just stayed and had no issues whatsoever. Mattresses can be a Goldilocks issue - they work for some people and not others. Due to the we don't just replace them based on one review. We will take another look” Perhaps if I were a bear that would be an acceptable response. However, most humans expect a quiet comfortable bed. If we had stayed at a motel then it would be understandable. On a positive note the decor was nice enough and could see ocean views from balcony- most importantly proximity to Charleston. Fortunately we always love Charleston.

Great family vacation

The condo was perfect for us with great pool and ocean views! It was well maintained and in a really nice part of the island. The other people staying there were low key and family oriented as well. We had a wonderful time & highly recommend!!

Practically Perfect, Except for 1 Minor Detail

Blue Cabana was perfect for our vacation needs as a family of 4. It was clean and well-appointed. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors on Isle of Palms and exploring Charleston. It was so nice to have a quiet place to recharge at the end of each busy day. Our only complaint was that both bed frames in the secondary bedroom where our 2 sons slept were extremely squeaky. They both complained about being woken up by these noisy beds anytime the other moved. Otherwise, we were all very happy with our stay.

Perfect Relaxing Beach Getaway!

We booked Blue Cabana for an extended weekend in the spring and our stay was wonderful. The property being located on Wild Dunes was great for convenience and easy access to nearby attractions like the Boardwalk area, bike rentals, and restaurants. The Shipwatch property where Blue Cabana is located is very peaceful, and we loved that it wasn’t as crowded when we would go on family walks on the beach in the morning. The rooms and furniture all worked out great - clean and comfortable. The extended patio has a good view of the ocean and we enjoyed coffees and a dinner on the patio during our stay. Steven was very responsive to any questions that popped up and we would absolutely stay here again!

Incredible beach stay

We had an amazing stay in IOP! The Shipwatch complex was right on the beach with easy access (even with a toddler and a wagon), our kiddo loved the pool, and the Wild Dunes resort had wonderful facilities. The condo itself was clean, well furnished, and perfect for our little family. We can’t wait to come back!

All the conveniences of home

Great property right on the beach, short 5 minute walk and right next to the pool. Property owner was fabulous about communication before and after and there were small touches throughout that made the stay easy. Provided all the conveniences from home that if I hadn’t brought myself, I wouldn’t have been without. Will stay here again when we come back!

Easy In and Easy Out

Location is great and away from the main business of the Boardwalk and Pavillion but still close enough to walk or ride bikes to easily if you want. Pool is big and lots of chairs and a big beach access. Inside was clean and nice and beds comfortable. I would suggest that the unit have cable or some type of streaming service available as there seemed to be no way to watch college football or the news without having a streaming service of your own which we dont have. Overall a great place to rent!

The location and condo itself were perfect for our family of 4 (8 & 6 yr old). Short walk to the ocean, nice pool, condo was clean and had all items needed. Will definitely consider a return trip!

Great Place, Bad Internet

Everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The internet was very bad though and made it tough for us to either work in the morning or even to relax with a movie at night. I would love to stay here again, but would only come back if the internet issue was resolved.

Horrible value for price

Sadly we were overcharged for this very average unit. The common areas were filthy, the property is dated and tired and did not match the pictures. Our sheets had a horrible perfume or febreeze sprayed on the center of the bed and pillows perhaps rather than washing. It was so strong we had to wash sheets and buy blankets. The property managers didn’t respond and then when they did refused to even credit the cleaning fee. I am appalled by how much we paid we could have stayed at a high end hotel. We did not know the area and did not look at what others had paid for the unit on previous dates. We paid 4x the normal rate w all the fees!! Reminder to do your research— I feel Vrbo did major price gouging on this one!

Great location

Great condo with pool and beach access. Beach area was not crowded. They had a small playground for kids. Closest restaurant is about a mile away and closest grocery store is about 5 miles away.

Perfect family getaway!

This place is incredible. The condo is clean, comfortable, bright, and so convenient to the pool and beach. I can’t say enough good things about staying on IOP and Wild Dunes - beautiful beaches, weather, and great restaurants. Highly recommend and already planning our next trip.

Awesome Property and Location

The property was accurate to its description. The owners / managers of the property were very attentive and quick to respond to all of our questions.
