Not safe for Older People
After showing up at the wrong location, and also not being able to enter the gate, because of incorrect code and rain, we made it into the apartment. The listing on VRBO had both wrong. After several attempts at contacting the owner or manager of the property, he was able to send us the correct instructions, and was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The place is sparsely decorated, and there are a few amenities to be found. There were no coffee pods to use with the machine. The shampoo bottles were open and no soap bars. Towels were nice. The sponge was in the kitchen was old and dirty and in general, the place needed some tender love. The worst part about it was the steps to go from the first floor to the second floor to the third floor. The steps are very steep and don’t appear to be to code as they are very treacherous, particularly coming down. It was very difficult to go up and down for my mother, and we actually had to vacate and go to a hotel the first night because it was not suitable for her. The beds were very low to the ground, and also very uncomfortable and in particular because they are on a platform that made it very hard to get in and out of. It might be a good place for others more able but not for us.
