No AC and broken glass in the hot tub

The check in process did not go as smooth as we would have liked and we had to wait 3 hours to get into the house, we got past that and it was water under the bridge. Once we got in the house, we realized the main floor AC was not working and it was 81 degrees inside. It was nearly 20 hours before we were told if/when they were going to send anyone, we ended up going the entire Thursday-Sunday rental with NO AC because they were only willing to send someone Friday evening and that didn’t work with the plans we had already made. Then we try to use the hot tub on the last night and I end up with glass in the bottom of my foot that had to be dug out. Other than all that, the place was pretty nice. Would’ve been nice if the owners were easier to communicate with.

Kitchen not clean/ property manager would not call back

The kitchen was not clean. The drawers had crumbs and dirt. Dishes needed to be cleaned I called the property manager about wifi and refrigerator and my call was never returned. Nice house but for the size, there was not enough dishes and silverware

Beautiful Location

There were many very nice things about this cabin--the bedrooms and bathrooms were especially comfortable, clean and roomy! It had easy access from the driveway, since my mom has a hard time with stairs, this was helpful. The living area was somewhat smaller than we expected from the pics, and there was only the one room for gathering. But it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was our biggest challenge, since we stayed over Thanksgiving, and made the full feast. Most people would probably not find any problems, so keep that in mind. It was just very small, and the lighting was especially bad in the kitchen! There needed to be many more lights available in all the common areas, but this was the most problematic for us. The other issue was the heater in the basement--it blew cold air. Once we switched it to "Auxiliary Heat," it worked much better. Also, in the description of the house, they encourage you to bring your boat because they have a dock...this is true, and we enjoyed using it! But be aware that you cannot bring the boat trailer back to the cabin once you have off loaded the boat at the ramp. The driveway is very short, but steep with a curve. Good news is that it is pavement underneath, so no worries with cars or other vehicles, but there is limited parking as well. You will need to arrange storage for your trailer! (Something that made the first night a bit hectic for us--though we did find the marina had options to store it for us.)

Beautiful, serene cove

This is a great house and location for our family looking for lake fun and relaxation. The dock is amazing; the porch was lovely; and the driveway is daunting. Our young adult children loved the privacy of the bedrooms in the basement. We all loved being able to bring our dog. We also loved the easy access to nearby restaurants and breweries, as well as great hiking.

Much Needed Rest

A great place to visit, not far from everything. I needed some much needed peace and quite from home and this place was the solution. Quite, peaceful and so calming. It is a place that you not not need to pick up your phone every 10 minutes. I will going back. I absolutely will be staying there again. Thank you so much for the experience.

Perfect Chatuge experience!

This is our third summer renting here- for over a week each time. It’s always been a fabulous stay for boating, fishing, and swimming. Our twin boys love it and stay entertained catching fish and swimming. We love the cooler weather and huge shaded porch with perfect views!

Great Getaway

We loved staying at this house. The view was gorgeous! Management was very accommodating and let us check in 30 minutes early. Just a few things that could have made it 5 stars. There not many plates to use and there was not a full size skillet in the kitchen as well as a full size sheet pan. Claiming a gourmet kitchen with limited equipment is a little disappointing. Maybe a note online that bringing paper plates might be useful. The wifi password did not work as well as the network to connect to was not listed in the welcome book (first world problems right?). The paper towel holder was broken. There were a few light bulbs out in the bathroom. And similar to the plates there were limited towels. Again just a heads up to maybe bring extra would have been perfectly fine. A little spruce up of the landscaping and outdoor furniture would go a long way. Lastly what I think would be really helpful is a map of the area that shows the closest grocery store, gas station, etc would be helpful. all in all we enjoyed ourselves and our dogs were in heaven. I would say that there was "just enough" of everything we needed for our stay. Again the house was clean, instructions were very good. All in all for a booking that we did only 4 days prior to arriving this was great!

Beautiful location BUT.....

Great location but some issues need to b addressed Refrigerator needs to be repaired. Excessive fees and restrictions should be addressed for families with pets. Cleanliness was an issue. General cleaning of floors -windows ect . Cobwebs needed to be cleaned. In addition, we have NEVER had to pay for the number of “people” that come with us on vacation. The price for the rental has always covered the people the house advertised for. This home says it sleeps 9, we had 8. As a note we cannot recommend, nor will we be staying at rental due to the following: *Excessive rental fees and restrictive policies. *Difficult mobility issues due to steep stair grades and numerous steps down to the lake front. This is not user-friendly stairway for persons with walking problems. *The steep driveway issue was not too much of a problem, but you had to be careful driving in and out of the parking area/ driveway. Overall, we did enjoy our vacation. Due to the fact we had our family together and were able to enjoy each other through the week and it was in an incredibly beautiful part of Ga mountains. We are confident that if you address these issues then future renters will be very happy to spend a week there.

Lake fun

This was a beautiful property and great location. We brought our jet skis up and had a great time playing on the lake. The only downfall would be if you have more then one car I would not recommend trying to pull the trailer down into the driveway. The views from the back patio are breath taking. The house was well stocked with all of your needs.

Nice, cozy lake house!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here, upon arrival, the owner contacted to check on us due to weather- that was very sweet of her. When we got there, the driveway was a little intimidating lol but all was good! The house was clean, as far ad surface clean, and was very spacious, comfy furniture and smelled fine. It could have definitely used a deep clean (mop, dust, wipe down stained blinds) but overall was good. The deck chairs were dry rotted & one of our guys fell when sat, but wasn’t hurt. I think the outside could have been hosed down, there was plenty of spider webs, funk/dust, just as suggestions, but we really enjoyed our time here. Beds were clean & comfy - & house had all amenities needed! :) We would stay here again! 😊

Ana was great and very responsive. We had some less than ideal weather for our stay and storms anticipated around our arrival time so Ana was very accommodating to allow us an earlier check-in to beat the bad weather. The cabin was well -stocked with all the things we'd need for the weekend, but some of the lower level bedrooms seemed dusty to the point a few guests had issues sleeping and we noticed some areas that had several cobwebs (one of the showers), and dirty towels stuffed in back of one of the bathroom vanities. The driveway is very steep and only partially paved so can be a bit tricky to navigate. The view of the lake was lovely and the hot tub was nice and we could tell it had been recently cleaned. There were enough towels and bedding available for the group. Overall we had a very fun weekend in the cabin!

Perfect Home

We stayed for our Thanksgiving break and absolutely loved this home. The lake was so peaceful even though we had no luck catching any fish. The home had absolutely everything we needed for our perfect Thanksgiving stay.
