Very well stocked, comfortable cabin. We enjoyed the fire pit and the quiet nights! We took the ferry to Madeline Island and had dinner at Poncho's.

The cabin was very clean and the host provided dog towels, blankets and dishes. Also provided coffee and tea which was helpful for our short stay. They provided a lot of avtivity information on the area too. We stayed here on our last two days of the Lake Superior circle tour instead of braking up the last day's drive by staying in Marquette. No regrets!! Ferry to Madeline Island and empty beaches in Corny were the highlights.

Great little cabin in the woods near Lake Superior! The cabin had a very strong musty odor upon arrival but it got better once the windows were opened, however, it was off-putting at first impression. Nice vintage decor, cozy and comfortable for two nights.

This was a great place for my adult daughter and I, and her dog to spend our annual Mother Daughter trip. Very accomodating to dogs with dog dishes, towels, chair covers and waste receptacle. Not on the water but. a short walk away from being able to stroll along the beautiful Lake superior shoreline. We took advantage of kayaking and cruising around the Apostle Islands.

A perfect little escape

We LOVED our stay at this listing! Erin was so attentive, and made sure our stay was as comfortable and seamless as possible. We had no issues checking in or out, the property was exactly as we expected (clean, location was well described, and the pictures were very accurate). We brought our pup, and found the property to be extremely pet friendly! The area (Cornucopia) offers the perfect amount of dining/shopping and activities! We plan to return to the area (a few days just isn’t enough!) and wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again! Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Beautiful, secluded property with all the attention to details! We like to cook together on trips like this and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. All the little touches from movies to the record player to cozy blankets made our stay perfect. We loved the private beach and even caught some nice sized Northern Pike in the creek leading into Lake Superior by the beach. What was so nice is it was close to Bayfield without the busyness of Bayfield. Erin was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for the best stay. We will definitely have Woodland Escape on our list to return to when we hit the South Shore again.

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

Stayed here with teenage kids and our dog, such a wonderful place to call home for the week. So close to Meyers Beach and lots of fun waterfall hikes, and only a short drive to Bayfield and Madeline Island too. I really wish the cabin had laundry facilities, but Star North gas station in Cornucopia just a few minutes down the road had a fabulous laundromat, and firewood too! If you need anything make sure to check Ehlers just down the block from Star North, really nice selection of groceries and other gifts and household items. Communication and help from the host Erin was fantastic, definitely recommend booking this property!

Great place to stay on the south shore.

Fun place to stay! Quiet and peaceful. The main room was a great place to gather and make meals or play games. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and seeing the changing mood of the lake. Erin was very helpful and responsive. Would stay again for sure!
