Charming rest

This clean and cozy home will not disappoint. We stay in VRBO spots often and have had the chance to stay in many different places and really enjoyed this slice of yesteryear. We played golf at Fleming Island golf club 15 min away..very nice! Great Italian was at Vitos Restaurant about 20 min away. This cottage is not far from St Augestine but actually had an interesting history written up in the welcome binder at the front door. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked ready for any avid cook or baker. There were more little touches that are not too common which we enjoyed like plenty of bottled water and a coffee pot and mini frdge upstairs to accommodate a lazy start to your day! Also the communication with the owners was clear and concise. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area with no hesitation!

An exquisite home with lots of amenities. Quiet neighborhood and plenty of room to relax indoors and outdoors. Well stocked with all household items needed and complimentary beverages and snacks. Instructions were easy both checking in and out.

Weekend with Family

Suited our needs for visit with family in Middleburg/Orange Park area. 20 minutes from family, restrauants and shopping. Saturday Market in downtown Green Cover Springs was most enjoyable.

What a nice getaway place to stay!

What a lovely home. Little chocolates at the bedside with bottles of water. Coffee mess upstairs with bottles of water as well as in the kitchen. Waters in the refrigerator too! Dish tabs and laundry tabs were available as well as snacks near the toaster. Nice touch. Place felt so welcoming. Loved the antiques and Furniture. Very nicely decorated. One cabinet with the games was wonderful. Did two jigsaw puzzles with our four-year-old grandson and taught him how to play Scrabble. Played a game of Uno as well! Location was wonderful with a safe feeling walking all the way to the park. Grands had a wonderful time at the playgrounds and splash pad.

Amazing stay!

This was my first ever rental and my wife and I couldn’t have been happier! The home was beautiful and full of history. The check in/out process was so easy. We will definitely find a reason to travel down and book this place again in the future!

Neat property. Super Communication

We enjoyed our stay. The communication was excellent. The property was clean. The kitchen was well-appointed. There are a couple of things to be aware of about this property. One is that is in a mixed-use area of residential and commercial properties. It is not an issue as far as noise and convenience. It was just a surprise looking at the photos. Also, if you like to watch TV, there isn't one area that accommodates more than a couple of people to view a program together. There is a small set in a sitting area. A suggestion would be to remove the large mirror in the living room and add a set there. If you like to just relax and read as an example, this is not an issue at all.

Lovely cottage

Victorian Charmer

Classic old home with lots of character! Have never been in a VRBO that was so well stocked. You don't need to bring anything but your clothes. Comfy beds. Would love to see a taller toilet upstairs like the one on the main level. Need to get the yard in shape, looked pretty rough. Close to the St. Johns river, Friday nite food truck and live entertainment. Would stay again!

Walnut house review

Such a charming home

I couldn't believe the price for the home! Double fireplaces, stained glass windows...all with modern comfort. Just a couple blocks away from the pier and local coffee shop. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend

This is quite honestly the nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Everything we could’ve possibly needed was available and in working order. Owners were quick to respond. Check in and check out process were trouble free. Beds and showers were luxurious. No pool, but less than an hour drive to saint Augustine beach. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a nice time!

It's a great house to temporarily house 2 teens and a younger kid. They got their space and everyone could relax alone if they wanted. Neighborhood felt very safe. Walked to pick up food from local Mexican mart/restaurant and it was delicious! Spring Park is an easy walk east of the house and pretty cool. Too bad the pool wasn't open yet for the year, but pretty unique to see a pool fed by 1,300ga/min warm spring! The back yard is very private. But because the property must've once been more of an event venue, there isn't much grass. Our two older teens were determined to sun bath and they made it work with a couple beach towels we brought from home. I'd recommend just a few cushioned patio long chairs. Overall, it was a great space and we'd return again!

Beautiful Historic home

We enjoyed the stay fully. This home is very spacious and we loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the items we needed. The location is also very close to the fairgrounds which we spent most of the day. We also were able to walk to a local place callled Red's Wine bar.

2nd Floor HVAC

We did not realize until our last day that there was a 2nd floor Air conditioning thermostat because it was behind a door that we never closed. We were very hot up there and we thought it was maybe due to the age of the house. May I recommend you place a message near the 1st floor controller that informs the folks of the second unit?

Instant relaxation

The house is clean and very comfortable. We (4 adults) had plenty of room to relax and recharge after a long journey and again after a family wedding. We spent the majority of our time in the dining room and the living room but there were 3 additional seating areas and the bedrooms were luxurious and tranquil. The property and communication exceeded our expectations and made us feel feel like family in the home! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Perfect location in Green Cove Springs!

The house is absolutely beautiful! The very spacious house worked great for my co-worker and myself. We were able to both work on projects in the evening and then enjoy a little down time sitting in one of the outside areas or in the tv /bar area. While we didn’t cook in the kitchen, there is everything you need if you choose to do that. We enjoyed walking to restaurants in the area. The wine bar, Reds, was a great find! Will most definitely stay again when we work here again!
