Better than advertised!

What a great place! It is close to downtown, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was in good condition, and the air conditioning was awesome even in the extreme heat we had. Nice job remodeling and updating an old home!

Girl’s birthday weekend

Location to downtown is excellent. The road is in construction so it is a bit rough and it is also very narrow. The house has a driveway, so not an issue for us. The house has a ton of character and it was neat to stay in such a historic district! The steps to the upstairs where all the bedrooms are, are quite steep. My one issue was the keypad!!! We walked everywhere and to leave and try to lock the door, nothing short of frustrating. 5 women and 20 mins to lock a door. The deadbolt will only latch if you have it in the EXACT spot it needs to be. Otherwise, there was really nothing we felt was lacking. The house is well equipped. Thank you for sharing your home!

A Fun Getaway

We stayed at this house for our company Christmas party and were pleased with our stay. It was very clean, and the "disco room" was a unique and fun room to hang out in. One of the bedrooms was a bit cozy, but the communal areas were spacious and nicely decorated. The location was great—just far enough away from the busy Main Street of Galena, but close enough to get there with a quick walk.Would stay here again!

4th of July weekend

My husband and I stayed at FiveTen General over the 4th of July weekend. The home is so cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our time walking around the downtown Galena area too. Our fur babies enjoyed the place too!!

Girls getaway

We had a wonderful time on our trip. There is so much to do and see in Galena. This house is perfectly located for walking everywhere. We enjoyed taking in the scenery and all the yummy food. We even got some Christmas shopping done. It is an older home as are most the homes in galena and we like the character and charm of older homes. It was nice not to have to park on the street. There were some dust bunnies and spiders, but overall was clean and had nice furniture. The tub and sink could use some caulking, but otherwise had no other complaints. I would stay here again.

Fantastic location and property!

We stayed for my husband's 50th for the weekend and the property was perfect, from relaxing in the living room to chilling out in the disco cave. Perfect base for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A wonderful place to stay!

This is a lovely spot, perfect for families traveling together (and dog friendly, which we were so grateful for!). We stayed for a ski weekend and enjoyed nearby Chestnut Mountain. It was a great time!

Girls weekend

The place was comfortable & nicely decorated. Rooms are up steep stairs so keep that in mind. House has everything you need & perfect for dog as well - themed around dogs & has everything your dog would need to enjoy the place. The internet is not good in this area ( no fault of owner) just overall bad in Galena area. Very nice home.

My family and I loved the aesthetic of little historic house. from the disco cave to the decor and the huge basket of dog toys in the living room, this house just awesome! Only a 10 minute walk to the shops/bars and has parking for 2 cars in the driveway! Would def stay in this house again!

Galena Gem!

If you want to stay somewhere in Galena that represents what the area is all about, then this is the house for you! Perfectly furnished, comfortable beds, it has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, quiet neighborhood but right next to the downtown shopping. Very kind, attentive hosts. They have put a lot of thought into the home making sure it is the perfect place to relax!

Great place to make memories in Galena

Each year my two sisters and I find a new place to explore and enjoy a getaway weekend together. This year, that place was Galena. FiveTen Federal was our home for the weekend and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. Before we arrived, we received a warm and informative welcome from the hosts. When we walked in the front door, we knew we’d made a great choice. The space has abundant historic character, but the features are completely up to date, complemented by a delightful array of art throughout. We hung out around the sunny kitchen island sipping coffee each morning before heading out to experience Galena. The kitchen is well-equipped for anything you might want to prepare. In the evening, we gathered in the living room to listen to music as we talked about each day’s experiences. The property’s three bedrooms are upstairs. Each room was clean and inviting, with mattresses and bedding that guaranteed a good night’s rest. Although we didn’t use it, there’s a very nice laundry room on the upper floor. (For those with mobility challenges, the stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep. There is a handrail, but for some, the stairs might prove a bit daunting.) The property is located in a quiet neighborhood slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Galena’s Main Street. You can definitely walk into town. With temps in the teens and a brisk wind, though, we opted to drive. We found free parking without a problem. Bottom line: FiveTen Federal was the perfect spot to spend our Sisters Weekend. We highly recommend it. We totally enjoyed our time in Galena and FiveTen Federal was a big part of that.
